This is a late 19th century Navajo Germantown textile woven entirely in commercially spun wool produced by woolen mills around Germantown, Pennsylvania. The design features stacked rows of stepped diamond motifs, halved at top and bottom, in a variety of alternating bright colors. A solid band of red and a solid band of yellow border the textile across top and bottom.
