Really Nice
This stuff is great I was initially a little off put by the scent, but I quickly realized that it was so intense for a couple of reasons. The first is that this stuff is made like a cosmetic, more than some other beard conditioning products which are oil based. This is technically oil based, but I believe it is based on a silicone oil, rather than a plant oil. This oil has a very low evaporation point, meaning as soon as it touches your skin, the heat from your body starts facilitating fairly rapid evaporation, leading to a high volume of scent in a small time frame The other reason for the intense smell is because I didn't realize just how good this silicone oil would be at spreading, so I used two pumps. That was more than enough though, because the limiting factor on a lot of these products isn't actually the volume, but how thinly the product will spread -- how eager it is to disperse This stuff disperses extremely well. A single pump will be good enough for most everyone Once it's actually had time to spread, the oil has had time to evaporate, and everything has settled, this has a wonderful scent. Like I said, it was very intense at first, but once it thinned out a little I actually recognized it as something I've smelled elsewhere, but I can't put my finger on what this smell is actually called. It's almost like a pistachio, but if you took away all the "food" smell from it (i.e. it's pleasant but you don't smell like food or anything -- just want to make that clear because it's hard to extract the idea of food from something like that, but it's really true!). The product posting says that the scent is lavender, but I don't think that's correct, unless this is a kind of lavender I've not encountered before Overall though, I really like this stuff. It's thinner, lighter, evaporates more quickly, and has a very nice scent compared to many other similar products I've tried
