Proud to showcase the history and heritage of shoemaking ,Spalwart was born after a visit to an old Slovakian Factory, where the treasure of long forgotten machinery and moulds were stumbled upon. Manufactured in the same plant using the same moulds and machinery since the 1950s, the shoes have a deliberately imperfect but characteristic beauty. The Marathon Trail Low is a trail-ready trainer constructed from unusual, functional materials: pin-stripe canvas and premium suede. Sat upon a rugged gum rubber outsole, the Trail Low is finished with a woven brand tab to tongue.
