Very sensitive to odors from even 2 rooms away so I know it is working.  Quiet even on a high speed.  It does throw out some air when it is on high so if you have a plant above it it will look like your plant is in the wind.  Feel confident that it is cleaning the air when I had the family over for Christmas.  I bought this because my husband is going through chemo treatments and I am trying to keep the air as bacteria and virus free as possible.

Very pleased with my purchase. We have cats, dogs, African grey parrot and I also have a reptile room. Before getting this I would have to change my ac air filter every month. Now I'm able to change it every other to 2 months. It does an amazing job at removing odors and everyone in the house has noticed their allergies are much better. Highly recommend buying this for anyone considering a new a purifier or wanting to helps their allergies.

Absolutely amazing!

My son has bad asthma we are unclear if it was allergy related or from complication from RSV that he has almost a year and half ago. This purifier is amazing and truly purifies the air. He still has his asthma however it has calmed down allergies by like 1,000 and his asthma has gone down. Right now we are dealing with fire smoke and it already detected it by showing pink (unhealthy) but by having it run it very quickly turns back to blue (healthy) after it sucks up all the bad air. I love it and it's worth all your money.

Perfect especially for people with asthma.

I live in an approximately 1200 sq. foot apartment in a VERY high traffic suburban area.  The building was built in the early 1970s, and has not been upkept the greatest.  There have been ventilation issues, ongoing construction issues, and several floods over the past 11 years.  I'm positive there is mould in the drywall behind the walls.  Building management isn't likely going to do anything about it.  Therefore, I decided to purchase a Coway air purifier after reading numerous reviews on various websites - including Consumer Reports, which I am a member of.  So far, I have not been disappointed.  The air quality in my apartment is much better than it was, the Airmega 400 is reasonably quiet (except at the highest fan level - then it's a bit noisy) and I'm very happy with my purchase.

Well Worth the Price

Very sensitive to dust particles and amazing filtration that auto starts at higher speeds to remove dust and anything in the living room. I'm extremely happy with its performance!  This is by far the best air filter I've had in last 17yrs.

Best of the best filter we have had ever!

Fantastic air filter! We upgraded from the smaller unit (we have 2) to the Airmega 400 on the first floor of our home. The 400 is amazing at filtering out the the dust and pollen we have year-round in South Texas. We had a cold snap for a couple of days in January (that what is it for winter here), lighting up our wood fireplace for a little warmth. While our home was toasty, the smell of wood smoke was heavy. 
But, not for long! We ran the unit around the clock, and within a couple of days our home smelled fantastic, the scent of wood smoke a memory. I highly recommend the 400.

Fantastic air filter!

I really appreciate the easily and quickly removable prefilters that are easy to clean. The covers are magnetic. Looks good too. Filters air great. Air quality sensor is quite sensitive. I leave it on night mode on lowest setting it's quiet and gets the job done. But I can turn it up if I need to, it can move a tonne of air.

Why not just get this?

The Airmega 400 is a very impressive air purifier thus far. Had to take off a star for the fact that this unit does not have a child lock on it like the Airmega 240 we also bought. Our toddler found the touch buttons to be to much fun so I have moved the unit to another location in the home that he is not in very often. The amount of air this unit moves is impressive and we are happy with it especially at the sale price we got it for. 

My only suggestion would be to allow it to have a child lock like the other products.

Great Purifier Lacking Child Lock

I really like this machine. Its very quiet. Akthough , it will ramp up to clean the air as it detects the need to quickly remove foreign air particles. But it completes the job and goes back to its previous quiet state. Like a Ninja in the background waiting to capture any bad air particles. Lol The one error I made in purchasing was not selecting the 400s which has wifi capabilities making the unit performance visible on your cell phone. That will have to be ny next purchase.

Ninja air cleaner

I bought it 100% for the animal hair because I have a main coon & he sheds a lot. This purifier claims to help with the animal smells & hair & it catches some of the hair but I was expecting it to be a lot better than it is. I have tile floors so you can see his hair settling on the floors & counters from floating in the air. I keep it on smart mode & it runs itself on low or turns itself off I've yet to see it turn any color then blue. If your buying it purely for your animals I would say idk that it's the best but if your buying it for the air purifier in a big area it's great

Great purifier

After purchasing another highly rated purifier that was way to loud, we came across the Airmega 400 and decided to give it a try.  So glad we did.  It is so quiet on low/medium speeds and tolerable on high.  It is very responsive to poor air quality when in Smart Mode.  With 2 German Shepherd, 2 cats and living in the country I notice an overall improvement in the quality of the air we breath.
