30 hours of pure endurance

30 HOURS OF PURE ENDURANCE¹

10 HOURS

Out of the box, Outlier Air has a jaw-dropping battery life of up to 10 hours. True wireless headphones in the market typically ranges from 3 to 6 hours of battery life, we took that and doubled it – all while saving you the hassle of having to constantly recharge your headphones.

2 TIMES THE POWER

The charging case provides up to 2 times of recharge on both earbuds – that’s 20 hours!

30 HOURS TOTAL PLAYTIME

In total, the incredibly long-lasting battery life provides a total playtime of up to 30 hours. That’s enough playtime for the longest flight route in the world!

¹ The mentioned battery lives are based on moderate volume level. Actual battery life will vary with usage settings and environmental conditions.

Top-quality 5.6 mm graphene driver diaphragm for excellent audio reproduction and latest Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy with aptX and AAC codecs for enhanced audio quality.

DUAL-VOICE CALLS WITH SMART ASSISTANTS

TRUE WIRELESS STEREO FOR DUAL-VOICE CALLS WITH SMART ASSISTANTS

One major flaw of existing true wireless headphones is that they only allow for calls in mono, where audio is only heard from one side, and is usually restricted to the right earbud. With Outlier Air, you can hear audio out of both earbuds while on a call and also have direct access to Siri or Google Assistant!

Both earbuds are fitted with built-in mic for calls and smart assistant functions. All you need to do is to assign your preferred side as the main unit control. The secondary earbud will then be automatically paired – no extra steps required!

PAIR OUTLIER AIR IN 2 EASY STEPS:

STEP 1:

Remove both ear buds from the charging case. The light indicator will blink in red and blue, meaning that your Creative Outlier Air is now in Bluetooth pairing mode.

On your device (e.g. Mobile phone), go into the Bluetooth settings and search for the Outlier Air.

2 selections will appear — L and R (left and right). Look for the individual ear bud that has the indicator physically blinking in red and blue, and pair to that. This ear bud will now be assigned as the main unit.

STEP 2:

After selecting the main unit, the secondary unit will automatically initiate pairing.

The prompt will flash on your device, asking for permission to pair your phone to the other ear bud. Select the “Pair” button to complete the process.

Note: Do not directly pair your device to the secondary unit via Bluetooth.

RE-SELECTING THE MAIN UNIT:

To use a different ear bud as the main unit, simply place the intended secondary unit back into the charging case while they’re both in use. The unit that is still connected to your device will automatically be assigned as the main unit. This process may take up to 10 seconds.

PAIRING OUTLIER AIR TO A SECOND BLUETOOTH DEVICE:

Disconnect the Outlier Air from your existing device. Press and hold the button of the main unit for 3 seconds to enter into Bluetooth pairing mode. Follow the same instructions mentioned above to connect the Outlier Air to a new device.

HASSLE-FREE CONVENIENCE

HASSLE-FREE CONVENIENCE

Use just one side of the earbuds to stay in check with the surrounding while on your coffee run! When you place a single earbud back into the charging case, the unit that is still in use will automatically assume the main unit controls with play/pause, calls and smart assistant functions.

To switch off, simply place the earbuds back into the charging case and they will switch off automatically.

All around better than the $200 Bose Soundsport Free! Best decision I made in 2019... Sadly lol
Update on 4/10/20: After 8 months of wearing these regularly in all types of environments (gym, hikes, skateboarding, etc) the build quality is top notch and has held up wonderfully. Never had one problem at all. Connection is still uninterrupted, sound is still Best-In-Class, and they fit just like they did on day one. I wanted to update my review, because I see people complaining about their button detaching. I use the buttons frequently and there is absolutely no sign of degradation. I just wanted to put this out there, since my review is seen on the first page. Both me and my father are audiophiles. With this being said my reason for purchasing this product is that I had heard of them or a bit of time and they seemed like it was a standout product for the price and for true wireless earbuds in general. Previously, I purchased the JBL Tune120 pair of TWS headphones that are also true wireless, but are brand new, I thought that they were amazing and I was convinced that they could compete with my father's Bose Soundsport Free wireless buds and to my utter disappointment I was highly incorrect. I had my dad try the JBLs and he subsequently gave me his Bose to try and it only took a moment before I realized that the JBL was in no league with the Bose. Feeling defeated, I made the decision to give the Outlier Airs a try and would take back the JBL pair if the Creative Outlier Airs were significantly better. Easy enough to say that I was blown away with the quality and so was my father. With a smile on his face while listening he had said "Oh wow these are just as good as my Bose headphones". 10 seconds later he says "Oh crap they are better". I was surprised with his honesty, as I would have to agree with him on this sentiment. They are definitely ahead when it comes to clarity but maybe the Bose have a little more Bass. But that was easily be fixed with a equalizer on both my PC and phone. The aptx support just makes this an incredible experience for watching videos as well. Unfortunately, with them being true wireless I did receive about 150 milliseconds delay when trying to use them in virtual reality. 150 milliseconds is just fine for watching video, but when you are doing virtual reality tasks such as playing basketball you do notice a slight delay between the bounce of the ball and the reproduced sound. Remember though, that these use Bluetooth 5.0 + aptx, which is the fastest delivery method possible. So no TWS buds will be any better anyway. Overall, this was a miraculous decision to give these a chance, because I could not be happier with them. The included ear gels fit quite fine in my ear and the additional set did not isolate noise as well for me. I also tried the Comply foam eartips and those, while good, were not up to par with the direct to ear sound I received with the included ear gels. I am aware that some have had issues with isolation like I had seen on the sound guys review but I was not a victim of this and I think the isolation is just fine. With that being said, you can order the comply foam tips that are made for the Jabra 65t. Those will fit in the case unlike the standard Comply tips that I tried and also they are the similar size as the included gels so I am ordering them, hoping that I receive that direct to ear sound and possibly even get that slight bit of isolation needed for 100% perfect attenuation. Hopefully you will experience the great fit and comfort that I have enjoyed with the default ear gels, too. I have not had any disconnect issues that seem to have plaqued a couple early buyers who received the first few batches. I would say I have used these for about 5 hours and have not had to charge and also have not had any disconnects. The one thing that I can mention is that when I left the room that my PC was sending sound from, I ended up getting some cut outs when I was about 40 feet from the PC. This should be expected with any true wireless set. I honestly am surprised at how well they stay connected, so do not let that hold you back from making this choice. if you are reading this review and have any skepticism about the quality of this product, I can tell you that you can rest assure with your purchase. I have just purchased mine and will update this review if anything changes, but I highly doubt that you will have to return them due to connection troubles. On the off chance you do, this is actually the first product that I bought from Amazon that gave me immediate phone support through the Amazon app if I had any issue, which I have not. I will be sure to update this review if there is any difference in my thoughts on this product. Good or bad, I will make sure to include it.

    • Reviewed in the United States on November 8, 2019
I will say right off the top that the Creative Outlier Air is probably the best pair of earbuds I have ever used.

The construction and materials seem to be of good quality, and they’re very light and comfortable lending themselves well to extended listening sessions. The primary thing keeping them in your ears are the rubber tips that press into your ear canal, very much like wearing a pair of earplugs, and they do a terrific job of blocking out external noise to the point that just about the only thing you hear is the music. I can be sitting next to my yelling kids, but it’s like I’m in my own, peaceful world, surrounded by the soothing sounds of my music. They also stay firmly put in your ears, so they're perfect for listening while active.

Contrary to what I’ve read in other reviews, the Outlier Air actually comes with two sizes of rubber tips: the standard size that comes pre-installed, and a slightly larger size. It’s easy to swap them out, and if they happen to fit your ears then you’re golden (the standard size are perfect for me); unfortunately, if you need slightly smaller then you’re out of luck unless you can find an alternate set that will work. Yes, more tips would have been nice, but I suppose being stingy was a way for Creative to keep the price down?

I’ve been using these with a FiiO M11 high resolution digital audio player using aptX which really does seem to deliver on its promise of CD quality sound over Bluetooth, so your mileage may vary here, but in my opinion, the sound quality is outstanding. You can actually feel the bass like you’re wearing full-size headphones. It’s really quite extraordinary. Mids are clean and clear but sound slightly “back” in the mix. Highs are crisp and detailed but not particularly loud. These definitely favor the low-end but not to the point that they drown out the other frequencies, so you still get good depth and separation. The end result is a sound that I find very smooth and pleasant, and my ears don’t feel wrung out even after listening through several complete albums in succession. Classical and jazz sound especially natural and lifelike.

I’ve found the Bluetooth connection to be very good. I get a solid connection whether the player is in my pocket, across the room, or in another room! My most extreme test was to leave the FiiO M11 on my desk and walk into my bedroom which put about 25-feet and several walls between the Outlier Air and the player, and even then, the connection was strong with only a couple of dropouts. I was suitably impressed.

Each earbud has a button that interfaces with your phone or digital audio player to control playback and volume. One click will start or stop your player, a double tap on the left earbud will go back one track, and the same action on the right earbud will go forward one track, and a press-and-hold will change the volume, left side to decrease and right side to increase. And while the buttons require a fairly firm press to actuate, the video reviews I’ve seen of people wincing in pain as they press them are exaggerated. They’re nowhere near that bad, although I wouldn’t mind a lighter press. Now one thing to be aware of is that the Outlier Air seems to have its own independent volume level. When I first used them, I was disappointed with how quiet they were even with the volume on my M11 at maximum until I realized that I could turn them up. I’m not sure if this is just a quirk with the FiiO audio players, but it’s something to keep in mind.

The battery life is excellent, and unless you’re a marathon listener, you’ll probably never actually deplete them before stowing them in the handy case that also serves as a portable charger. But if you do run them down, you’ll hear a sequence of beeps alerting you to this fact and giving you about 15-minutes of warning before they automatically power off.

There's really nothing negative to say about these. Creative knocked this one out of the park, and for a great price.
    • Reviewed in the United States on September 18, 2019
I listen to music alot. Everyday, almost anytime I can. So one essential thing for me is headphones. But being college student who uses headphone very frequently, it's hard at time to find a pair of headphones that offers long battery life, durability, great sound, and ease of use all at an affordable price. After researching, I found these to be my choice for my next headphones. And these blew all my previous headphones out of the water. They sound amazing. Bass in nice and prominent without sacrificing mids and highs. Being at school for 8+ hours, these lasted the entire day with more ready to go for the next day or 2 of school, without charge. Using them whenever I'm not in class and charging when in class, they are never below 70%. Connecting is easy once you've paired. You take them out and they automatically pair and are ready to go. But, I do have a couple of problems with these. The first is the buttons on them. They are a little stiff and require a bit of force to press. If pressing normally, you end up jamming the earbud into your ear which hurts and does not work everytime. What I learned to do is put my index finger behind it and pinch the button and while a little weird, it works better. The 2second problem is it's durability. At the time of writing this, I have had it for about 2 months and the right ear bud is starting to give out. Now this is the major problem I have with earbuds. They're compact shape is amazing but doesn't allow for much use before they die. I'm not sure if this is just a defective pair because I want to believe that they are just an outstanding pair and last but it's hard to believe that because all earbuds I've used before lasted about this long. I bought warranty for $7.99 and I plan on using it but it's sad that for a total of $90 with shipping, they have only lasted 2 months. So the conclusion I've come to is that these headphone are amazing and have feature you would like and want. But for someone who uses them often, its not a smart idea to spend $90 every couple of months. My warranty is good for 3 years but I'm not sure if it's a single use or multiple use warranty. If its multiple use, I'd say these a worth it no matter what. Sure, you might have to wait a few day for a new pair but boom $90 and you're good for 3 years of Bluetooth earbuds. When I find out more information on the warranty, I will update this review

It's an all rounder product. Noise cancellation is decent but not too notch. It picks up all the voices outside though. Battery is never a concern here with the kind of case that we have. If only the buttons were soft touch or sensors - it could have just made the best tws available in the market.
