I first purchased the ROKU stick last year and it's not nearly as good as the Ultra box.  The colors are so much more vivid and I no longer have constant problems with my picture freezing up, the faces going from fuzzy to clear etc...  For months I thought it was my modem, but when I got a new modem it still didn't solve the problems.  The Technician told me that the stick was the problem because he saw problems like this with other stick users.  I spent the extra money and purchased the ROKU Ultra and I'm VERY happy that I did.  No more problems :)

I love my new roku. Only Problem was during activating it locked and told me to call. When I called they wanted to charge me for activation  I refused and hung up. I logged into my online account then activation was no problem.. I feel like the department I called was not actually from roku. Be careful.

Great product

I got this awesome device for my 4K living room TV and couldn't be happier.  Having the ability to hardwire it directly via ethernet is awesome for watching high quality 4k content. I've been watching the Mandolorian in 4k on my Roku Ultra and it looks beautiful. I also love that it comes with a remote with a headphone jack and JBL headphones, my WIfe tends to go sleep a bit earlier than I do so being able to plug headphones easily into my remote to privately listening is awesome.  It's also pretty handy to have the two programmable buttons I have one programmed to YouTube tv and one programmed to Disney+

I had 2 different versions of Roku before this Premium model. I thought the hdmi plug in on my tv stopped working and had to buy an adapter for them to work. They were only displaying at 720p this way.
I bought this Premium model on black Friday for half price and tried to use it with my adapter but all I got was a humming noise. I unplugged it and unplugged it in the tv hdmi and it worked perfectly.  It also shows up now on screen with 1080p and is very nice like the TV is new again. You have to sign in to all your paid apps again but it is all worth it.

So much improved

I like the fact that my cable provider (Spectrum) has an app that enables ROKU to provide not only streaming channels (e.g. Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney, etc.) to my ROKU non-cable attached TV, but also stream the cable channels to it as well.  I do not need to rent the receiver from the cable provider for this TV, saving on my monthly cable fee.

Potential cost savings will be available

My go to device for streaming. I don't  think there is a better, more affordable device  on the market for streaming  4k content. I got  this little gem for $48  during Walmarts 2019 black Friday sale. I originally bought it for the same price during the 2018 black Friday sale and returned it for a refund. I immediately regretted doing that and vowed to purchase it again if it was available for the same price during 2019's sale. It was and I was lucky enough to get the last one at my local store.

Great product at an even greater price.

We've been waiting to get a Roku player, just didn't know which one to buy. Glad we spent the extra $$$. The quad-core processor in this one will help improve the overall picture quality. Plus, you can speak to the remote and tell the player what you want. Saves steps. Love it...!!

Money well-spent..!! Glad we bought it.

I had a Roku player and unfortunately it was ruined by a power surge in our house during a thunderstorm.I purchased this one as a replacement and I am very satisfied with it.There are many channels available through Roku and I missed it during the time that I had to do without it.I am glad to have it back and I can now watch shows that I am interested in when there isn't anything worth watching on regular TV.

Roku Player

Well I have to say that I have had this Roku for a little less than a month. Cannot speak to durability / longevity at this point. But I can tell you that I hate Cable TV and Netflix / A Prime etc... are too limited for my taste. Roku has so much content I was shocked. I am pleased with it and have had zero issues so far with its functionality. Really pleased with it and wish I had gotten one long ago. Best part is you pay for it ONCE ! There are different subscription channels available if you wish to pay for them. But to me that defeats the whole purpose of having the Roku to begin with. There are TONS of Free Channels available and that is what I bought it for.

Like it a lot so far

A little larger than my old apple TV, includes tons of channels, such as VUDU, Netflex, Prime, Hulu ... and lots of private channels. The setup process is very straight forward, because I don't have a Roku account before, so it took me about 15 minutes to setup a Roku account. The only other thing I want is a bluetooth connection for my keyboard.
