This is for all the ladies who are worried about sizing. I know with these types of reviews, it is always like well, which is it?!? If you are used to ordering from ModCloth, their Salt Water sandals are off UK sizes, which are not Big Kid sizes. So there is that. So depending on where your friend or whomever ordered their sandal, their recommendation to size up or down is entirely dependent about that. Moving on. I am very strictly a large 7½. If a boot is leather, I will order a 7½. If I am ordering running shoes, I tend to order an 8 for a roomier fit. When I am ordering sandals, I will order a 7½. These guidelines have fared me well so far. So all in all, I would say I am a large 7½, small 8. I also have very wide feet, but leather tends to break in easily to accommodate. If any of that makes any sense. I ordered these Salt Waters in a 5 Kids/7 Women. This was not my better judgement, but I did find out about these sandals through my favorite blogger, who swears that you need to size down. This was not the case, as I found out she ordered them through Mod Cloth. I hope you are following. They were too small. So all in all, I would say size up if you are in between sizes. My heel was actually hanging off the sandal by ½". I could have sucked it up, but I knew they would bug me so I sent them back. I was pretty heartbroken, being as they are just as comfortable as everyone raves they are, despite not having any arch support. Amazing! It makes no sense why they are so comfortable.

Friends at work turned me on to this cute, comfy and reasonably priced brand of sandals, and when I went to Zappos and saw the rose gold ones, I ordered immediately in what I thought would be my best size. They were a tiny bit loose, and I felt my foot moving in them, yet they were comfortable and stable enough for quite a bit of city walking (flat ground/sidewalks). But I started to wonder if a size down might be better, since there is so much talk re: size on this shoe. Hopefully the pictures will help people determine what is best for them, as "perfect fit" is not the same for everyone. I wear a size 6-1/2 shoe, 36 Euro in nearly every brand I've ever worn. I have somewhat duck feet, so a little wide at the front with a narrow heel. I ordered my rose gold Salt Water sandals in size 5/W7. You can see how my toes don't hit the stitching. I ordered the navy blue sandals in size 4/W6. My toes come almost to the edge of the sandal, but there is absolutely no overhang at the toe or heel. The straps of the shoe fit my foot much more snugly, which for me means that I would be more likely to dance or make quick turns in them. My feet feel fully supported and stable, while the larger size sandals could potentially contribute to a twisted ankle if I tried too much fancy footwork in them. Also, personally, I don't like the way so much of the shoe is showing in the toe area. I prefer the toes coming closer to the edge, but again, this is where everyone is different. Some might prefer the looser look and feel, but I think it's important to know that a person can successfully wear two sizes and have them both technically fit, just in a different way. For the record, both of my friends who wear the Salt Water sandals wear them as my feet appear in the larger sandal. I can literally see their feet moving around within the sandal as they walk, but they prefer that fit. Hope all this helps!

I wear a women\'s 7, but got these in a 6 Youth. The 7 Youth was too big. They are as comfortable as they can be with no arch support or padding of the sole. I\'m 48, overweight and wore them all day and was just fine. :-)

I thought about ordering these for a few years but wasn't sure because I thought the front might be too loose and they wouldn't be comfy because they have no arch support - but they are great! I wouldn't go for a long walk in them but for general use they are great. And super cute, I think!

Be careful of sizing - Size 8 does not mean "size 8" It says on the shoe "size 8 - woman's 10"! The size I need, because I am a natural size 8, is salt water sandal size 6! Be careful. On the lighter side, I love these shoes. I traveled all through Europe in them. They don't have much of an arch support and are pretty darn flat, but I find them extremely comfortable. They're the best in tropical destinations because they can get wet - that actually makes them fit even better. Love them!
