I Bought this product after searching for vintage quilt stain remover and watched YouTube videos and product reviews. Retro Clean product did not disappoint, on the contrary I was amazed! I have a hand quilted quilt from my grandmother that had water or dampness stains and discoloration from being in storage for 30 to 40 years. I soaked quilt top in retro soak and hot water, and to keep water warm about 94 degrees I used an aquarium heater and kept squishing and rearranging quilt to distribute warm water. After 24 hours I squished all yellow brown dirty water out and hand rinsed with clean water. Then reloaded in tub of fresh Retro clean water for about 12 hours longer and aquarium heater to keep temp warm. I felt that all stains and discoloring was gone at this point. I put quilt top into my automatic washer on rinse and spin only to makes sure it was thoroughly rinsed. I never dreamed it would come so clean! It looks perfectly clean and white! Love this product. I have purchased 5 packets in total so far, and washed multiple quilt tops in the same way. Went to a quilting retreat just a few days after doing this and I had my grandmothers quilt archived into a registry. I showed the people there before pictures of stains and they were amazed as much as I was.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous Results!
Reviewed in the United States on January 3, 2024
Absolutely love this product and highly recommend. I spent hours refinishing my aunt’s 100 year old quilt which held so many memories and love. It was tattered and badly stained. She was going to throw it away, but I rescued it. I repaired it and then discovered Retro Clean. After soaking in hot water for 30 hours, the stains came out. One picture shows the water after only 10 minutes of soaking. The colors are brighter and the whites are not yellowed. I returned the stunning quilt as a surprise at Christmas. I still tear up seeing my aunt’s joy when opening her gift. She didn’t have dry eyes either. Thanks, Retro Clean for helping with a priceless treasure!

5.0 out of 5 stars Like brand new baby dresses
Reviewed in the United States on March 10, 2024
These dresses are 65 years old. They were mine. The lace was yellow and there were stains on one of them. I soaked them as directed and the results are amazing. Lace is white, dresses are pinker and the stains are gone too. I can wait to see them on my granddaughter.

Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2024
Used this product on my 25 year old first communion dress. Filled tub with a few inches of water and used half the package. Mixed it up good and submerged dress for 15 hours. Looked good, big difference (see photos that do have shadows). Drained and refilled with 1/2 of the half full bag and hot water. Soaked for another 24 hours. Bright white! Was a satin and lace material

5.0 out of 5 stars Works incredibly well!
Reviewed in the United States on February 18, 2024
As you can see by the date, this cross stitch is over 30 years old. It had yellowing and water damage. I soaked it in Retro Clean for 3 days, changing the water once a day. It came out almost as white as when it was new, without fading any of the stitching! Definitely recommend!
