Product Description

When the viscose touches water, it contracts and the surface becomes rough. This is not a product defect.

It's natural that viscose shrinks when it comes into contact with water. The towel shrinks, making the surface rough and easier to exfoliate the skin.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 4, 2025These exfoliating mitts work phenomenally well. By the time I've been in the shower for a few minutes and washed my hair, all it takes is a few scrubs and the dead skin just pills up and rinses away.
(Disclaimer: I'd caution everyone to start on "light mode", the way plug-in toothbrushes break in their users by gradually increasing intensity. Start with light pressure in the areas you want to exfoliate before increasing pressure in each area.) They work great on rough, dry skin areas like those found on the elbows, knees, ankles, shins, heels and toes. It reduced a callus I had by literally 95%, no lie. It's nearly gone! I haven't experienced any adverse thickening or other unintended effect. I've even used them VERY gently around my jaw and chin, where I notice my skin naturally pill from time to time, post-shower. They also completely got rid of some unwanted texture I had on my chest. I had small bumps (not pimples) all over that were relentless previously, but the mitt completely polished them away!
I wouldn't recommend using them more than once or twice a week or during short and/or cooler showers though, as they can be overly abrasive in those circumstances. You really need the warm water to help soften your skin a bit, or it can get a bit uncomfortable. Embrace the suck. I would not recommend these for sensitive or fragile skin types, on areas with open skin or acne, or for kids.
As other reviews mention, the mitts do shrink quite a bit once they dry after use, but I don't find it any more difficult to exfoliate with less surface area.
It can be a struggle trying to keep the mitt flat as you scrub, but I've found that NOT using it as a mitt, and sort of lacing it between my fingers helps. (I place the mitt between my index and middle finger, with most of the material extending downwards towards the palm of my hand. Then, take that excess material and go under your middle and ring fingers, bringing it up and securing it with your pinky. Hope that makes sense!)
This was my first time purchasing these mitts and I wanted to see the difference in coarseness between the pink and green, and honestly I can't detect one. I anticipate having these for awhile, but I'll probably just buy whichever one is cheapest in the future.
So far, I've used my first mitt about 8 times, and it's still holding strong!
This has got to be one of the cheapest skin & bodycare products out there to provide this kind of benefit with virtually no downside. It'll be a re-buy from me, dawg.

It works wonders at removing dead skin, especially on my feet, leaving my skin feeling super smooth. The size is perfect for my small hands, but it might slide around a bit if you have bigger hands.
The pack of 8 is a great deal—it lasts a long time, so you’re getting real value for your money. The material is just the right amount of rough for exfoliating without being too harsh on the skin. It’s a must-have for anyone looking for an effective, affordable exfoliating tool!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 25, 2019I am a female with dry, thick skin.
I heard great things about these and after doing research I bought them hoping to get a intense exfoliation and cleaning.
I used the red one because I heard it was the most intense out of them all...if that's the case, they're all too soft for me.
Oh you'll see dirt rolling off of you as expected...But most of the work is in YOUR hand strength! NOT the towel itself!
I have larger hands so I wasn't able to fit my thumb in the towel, which made it a bit harder since it keep sliding around.
Overall, if you put a lot of muscle into it you will get a decent scrubbing. It's best if you use back and forth motion rather than circular for best results.
FURTHER DETAILED:
I used the shower by letting hot water run over my body for a few minutes, then lightly lathering my loofah with Dr. Bronners Rose castille cleanser with a bath poof. Allowing the soap to stay on for a bit before rinsing.
I started scrubbing with a dry italy towel but found that it works best when you wet it first.
Also make sure it's turned inside out on the right side where the tag isn't showing.
Scrubbing in up and down/back and forth motions got more dirt to come of than circular motions.
Each time I got dirt rolls, I'd rinse my body off and start over again a total of 6 or 7 times.
I could not put as much power into the scrub as I wanted because the towel shrunk once it got wet and kept slipping off my four fingers. My thumb didn't fit which made it uncomfortable. So my hands hurt a bit afterwards.
After my final rinse, I lathered with a complextion brightening soap and let it sit on my skin for a few minutes before rinsing. My skin felt much cleaner and softer. I followed up with a heavy moisturizer and MY SKIN FEELS SO SMOOTH!!
BUT TRUTH BE TOLD....
Your skin probably won't be 100% as buffed and polished the first time you use this on your own. I think that if you can, it's best that you go to a real Korean bath house and let them scrub you down the first time to get you as clean as possible...THEN use these towels on your own to maintain that cleanliness, because it's harder to get those same results just using you own hands.
Also if you can find a mitten version that would be best for your hands convenience.
If you have a tub USE IT! The shower uses up a lot of water for this and you need the water to stay running so you can keep rinsing away the dirt as it rolls up.
I hope this helps!
