Customers are mixed about the temperature of the hair dryer. Some mention that it has the best bristles, heat, and rotation. They say the metal barrel heats better and styles a little faster. The heat quality is good, but it does not blow very hard. The different heat options are great for drying and setting a style. The air is very powerful, but not burning hot. However, some customers feel that the heat is so low, even on the high setting, and it takes SO LONG to heat up. The tip is hot, though.
"...The bristles keep your hand away. I like that. The tip is hot, though. Careful...." Read more

Some customers also mention that the product causes some pulled hair and knots. The brush has a lip that seems to tangle a bit. However, some customers say that it works well.

It's little pricier than others, but the quality is very good - I have owned this for 2 years and it is still working very well.
It's a rotating brush with the blow dryer built it. It's not foolproof, but does a good job and when I use it, people definitely notice my hair looks nicer. My hair becomes very smooth in texture; I can make flips or loose curls, or keep it very straight.
There is a learning curve, so the first few times you use it, it might not seem simple. The brush rotates in 2 directions (which is a great thing!) but you have to get used to it. The barrel is very large, so like others say, I don't know if it would be good for very short hair. The heat quality is good, but it does not "blow" very hard (I guess because it would mess up the styling), so if you're hair is soppy wet, I would recommended partially drying it with another blowdryer.
The point of my owning this is to avoid having to do a blowout with a round brush and separate dryer. I do not possess the ninja hair skills to operate two items at once. I am also extremely lazy. So the reason this does not get 5 stars from me is because it does not have the blow-power to really dry hair; it is more of a styler. My thick, shoulder-length hair must be nearly dry to achieve the quick smooth style I want from this tool. I either have to let it air-dry for about 45 minutes, or pre-dry with my blow dryer. (The Revlon tool did a better job of drying-while-styling, so I know it is possible.)
Having said that, I really do like this tool. It smooths hair as well as my salon stylist can with a round brush + dryer. To be truthful, if it blew harder it would probably not smooth as well; the hair shaft is like a series of little shingles, and if you blow them the wrong way they get roughed up and don't reflect the light well. So I kind of forgive it for not blowing harder. (I really should be less lazy, but I've got a kid and a day job and better things to do.)
The large diameter of the brush is refreshing. It provides a straighter style while still giving me plenty of volume. The narrower brushes gave more of a curl/wave thing. I do like that the result from the Babyliss mimicks a plain blowout.
The Babyliss feels substantial in the hand, well made, not toy-like. It feels as though it is built to last. (It better--this was much more expensive than the Revlon.) The titanium barrel is instrumental in the smoothing action.
There is a bit of a learning curve with the rotation, or at least there was for me. The rotation buttons are a hair trigger, and I didn't even mean to make that pun. Just lightly touching them and you're spinning. So it was a little fiddly for me at first. Sometimes I want to just spin. Sometimes I want to roll the hair to the root and hold the tool close to my head for a minute. Getting the finger off the button at the right time is a little tricky. But I did mention I have zero hair skills. I love that it spins in both directions. It spins very smoothly.
I was afraid I would tangle up my hair in the rotation process. It has NEVER tangled. I'm a little bit shocked. The bristles are just perfect; the perfect length, the perfect amount of grip, and when it comes time to clean the hairs out, the bristles let go of them quickly. Very easy to clean.
I have never burned myself, either. It is not easy to grab it where the hot barrel is. The bristles keep your hand away. I like that. The tip is hot, though. Careful.
It came with a little plastic sleeve that I thought was just packaging, but I ended up keeping it to store the brush in while not in use. If you stored it lying on its side--as I do--without the little sleeve, the bristles might flatten over time. The sleeve thing is perfect for popping over the end to keep that from happening.
I like that it has a cool setting to lock in the style; I like that it doesn't spin while on cool. There is no need for it to spin at that time, and I appreciate Babyliss' attention to this detail.
I wish the barrel were a little longer--so I could wrap more and more hair around it, furthering my goal of extreme laziness--but it's okay that it isn't. It really is plenty long for most normal, non-lazy people. The bristles are long enough that you can wrap what is really too much hair around it and it will still work.
I would repurchase this item if I needed to. I would recommend it to others. It works great. The price is reasonable for the quality and effectiveness of this tool. I hope this review was helpful to you.

This brush has totally transformed my challenging thick shoulder-length hair which has some natural curl but only enough to go frizzy unless I painstakingly blow it dry or use electric curlers.
With this brush, I blow-dry my hair until it's mostly dry but still damp, and then I divide my hair in sections. I brush each section with the hot air brush and use the button to automatically roll my hair around the brush. This saves my wrists from all the twisting and turning I had to do when blow-drying my hair with a round brush. The hot air brush is lighter in weight than my blow dryer and not nearly as tiring to use.
The results are outstanding too. My hair is so smooth and has such great body and shine. I'm totally converted to this new way of doing my hair.
