This is an Everlast 9' deluxe speed rope.

What is the length of the rope 8&#39;, 9&#39; or 10&#39;?

It's adjustable if you pop the cap off. Best for 5'11" to 6'3", the taller you are the better your technique has to be. If you're shorter, you'll need to pop the ends with a flathead or a knife and cut a few inches off. The bearings are not pro grade due to the adjustable bit getting in the way, but it's fine for the price

EVERLAST JUMP ROPE

I am an excellent jumper. This rope is a cable rope but it is flimsy so it doesn't keep its shape and is very frustrating to jump with. I'm sure it's fine for a novice jumper but I need speed

As an individual with heart disease I started jumping rope to increase general physical fitness and to add to my endurance. I started with a Gold's Gym braided rope with wood handles and a mechanical linkage (non-bearing) for rotation. It had a clear vinyl tube in the middle of the rope to prevent abrasion. It was O.K. but I wanted a rope with a smoother rotation so I bought the everlast because of the bearings. For the price it is also O.K.- but it's nothing wonderful. My daughter had a rope with the solid PVC but non bearing and it operated as smoothly as this one.
It is nice you can shorten the rope to length but I found the plastic allen wrench that was included too short to use. I had to get my own metric allen wrenches to adjust for length. If you cut the PVC to the length beyond the stop (as shown in the instructions-about inch and a half) the bearing will not work properly. The PVC must be cut flush to the stop. The bearings are cheap and rough. I oiled them in order to try to make them smoother. If you are serious about long term jumping and exercising or wanting to learn tricks I would look elsewhere.

I am sure there are better

This thing tangles and winds up on itself.  Extremely annoying.  I would not purchase this again and will most likely return it

The 'rope' has no weight whatsoever, so it comes crumpled up and doesn't swing right when you're trying to jump. It's also way too long; you have to wrap it multiple times around your wrists. It flails awkwardly and bounces off the ground. It's not practical.
