It has a section cup over the steam that allows you to put medicine liquid in.

Yes. It is built into the tall white part of the unit but this part is very easy to remove and clean.

There isn't an insert, but the cup is at the top of the tower where the steam comes out.

Does not require a filter or wick. If you have hard water you will need to clean it once a week. I use distilled water so I do not need to clean it that often.
There is a Vicks VapoPads you can purchase that hooks into the side that heats up with the water.

It worked wonderfully until a week ago when water started running out of the bottom. Luckily I had it on a tray for this purpose. I would have given it a 5 star rating but having it break 3 months later prevented that. However, I called their customer support and they were happy to send me another humidifier. I spoke to Jamie, who was very nice!

It started releasing vapors of stream from how the description said it would.

I did not like it at first, but now I do.

I own several Vick’s humidifiers in my home but this is the first time trying the warm mist. Oh boy what a junk, super noisy, very little mist on the highest settings, the compartment for the cough suppressant is a total waste of time because you cannot smell it in the already little mist. Better off pouring it in the water like I’ve done with the Vick’s cool mist humidifiers I have in every room.

Not worth it.

It smells like burning plastic each time I use it. It humifies so I gave it 2 stars. But I’ve only been using it for a few days and already there was junk (mineral deposits?) on heating element - cleaned it off. Hoping the burning plastic smell fades. Anybody else notice a smell?

I loved this humidifier untol the 5th day of using it. I filled it with water and the handle cracked! I want to have the same unit but if I cannot even carry it, it loses any postives. i expected more from the brand.
