The rigid black one seems to be made of a different type of plastic than the others and broke the first time I tried to use it. (Picture included.) This one is the only one that is a solid color, all the others are spotted, or at least the ones I received are spotted. The spotted ones seem to be holding up rather well. It should be noted that the spotted ones are more flexible than the solid black one, which makes them easier to use if your hair decides to be unruly.

    I am so excited to say I have FINALLY found a good hair clip. My favorite one broke a couple months ago, and I have been on the hunt for a good one ever since. Most hair clips are either too big and bulky or they don’t have good grip so my hair or the clip itself slides out. Sometimes it’s a combination of the two. These, however, hold perfectly! As soon as I put one of the clips in, I knew this was the type of clip I’d been looking for! It feels like a sturdy product, and I haven’t had to fix my hair once since it’s stayed in place so well. For reference, I don’t have a ton of hair, but the hair I do have is thick! I would definitely recommend these clips!

    Although these are not the sturdiest hair clips & wouldn't have worked on my extremely thick, long hair when I was younger, now that I'm older & lost a lot of my hair due to illness, these lightweight clips are EXACTLY what I need: not too heavy to pull out more hair; able to keep my hair out of my eyes; & a good price for multiple clips to match various color schemes. Very happy w/ purchase so far!
    Edit: Although I totally loved these headbands at 1st, I do NOT love how they soon lost their stretch, (used 1-2X/wk; carefully hand-washed & air dried hanging; & they lost their stretchiness although carefully put on head to AVOID stretching them out; & w/in a month started becoming too big for a medium sized head!) I also found unstitched holes where they had been turned right-side out that started to become bigger because no back stitching or threads tied to prevent more unstitching from happening. I have to order more, already, find a different seller or plan on replacing them every couple of months, rather than the years of expected use.

    As pretty as these are they're not very durable, at least not with thick hair. Most of mine all broke within one or two uses. The tines or teeth kept snapping off. Im not sure if its due to my thick hair, or what, but they just didn't survive at all. I have 2 left with broken teeth but I like to keep my hair pulled up when working and bands dont really do the job so I use these. I have other companies clips that work fine. ithink these likely just have very thin or weak teeth which is sad cuz theyre really pretty.

If you have medium to thick hair these should work well, depending on how long your hair is. They are sturdy and easy to use.
