I bought Codi for my 5 year old son for Christmas. The first Codi we received was defective. It did not work at all. However, I was able to put a claim in online, and Amazon sent us another Codi with no problems. UPS dropped off a label, and was able to put that on the original box, retape it, and send it back. Now, we love Codi. He tells my son bedtime stories and sings a wide variety of songs. The voice actors used are great! You can control him using a simple app on your phone. You can add whatever stories or songs you want your child to hear. Pillar Learning is constantly releasing updates, so Codi stays up to date. Codi also lights up and works as a perfect nightlight. It was definitely worth the money spent.

As a connected device, Codi's content library and features grow with your child. All data is stored on our encrypted servers to protect your family's privacy, and we will only use it to provide better recommendations and improve Codi's voice recognition abilities. Codi also isn't always listening. For voice interaction, your child would need to press the Codi button in order for Codi to hear what your child would say.
The Codi App
Compatible with iOS and Android, through Codi's mobile app, parents can manage content played and their child's experience. The app allows you to manage playlists to find new content, trim playlists, and download your child's favorites for offline use. Our voicemail feature allows you to send and receive voicemails between the app and Codi device.

Like it
I like this product because it is a safe way to entertain my kids, meaning it’s interactive and it’s not a tablet you know what I’m saying. The thing though is my 3 years old doesn’t find it amusing...yet. He just wants to press buttons and don’t really understand the concept of it. I am hopeful that when he matures he will appreciate it more. On the other hand though my 9 month old likes it. She would dance to the songs. She won’t listen to the bedtime stories of course. All the features work great. It came with one outfit and a charger. You can download songs and stories from its app and send them recorded voice messages. I’d say I recommend it for older toddlers maybe 5 years old.

The product is nice and cute works well so far, but in order to use its full function, parent need to download CODI APP, which requires you to register, and it doesn't work. It will tell you to input email information and get a verification email, the email was never received no matter how many times I click on "re-send" and the screen will pop out a window " software caused connection abort". I then emailed the support team, email got returned says "undeliverable" I will email the support again, if still no one response, I may need to return the product.
Update: Customer support reached me and provided help.
