Greatest show I’ve ever been to

    by Glee on 6/30/23

I was left speechless. That show was worth every headache I experienced while getting to Prospect Park. My brother and I decided to get tickets 2 weeks before the show. We’ve been supporting nxworries since Yes Lawd! and Anderson .Paak since Malibu. This was also our first Blue Note show. Seeing Robert Glasper, BJ The Chicago Kid, Bilal, Lalah Hathaway, Chris Dave, Terrace Martin, NxWorries all in one day was insane. This was a true showcase of talent. My soul is still thankful.

Spiritual. Soulful. Litty. Beautiful. Each act understood their responsibility to the people.

    ANDERSON PAAK IS THE FUTURE.

by Le Anne A. on 6/27/23BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival at Prospect Park Bandshell - Brooklyn

Legit Prince smiled down on that man last Sunday. He blessed us with dance moves, his beautiful voice, his dope music, his literal radiant smile. Anderson is a gift to the world. Lalah, BJ the chicago kid and Bilal also brought the fire. Robert Glasper deserves all his Grammys and MORE! So happy I was first in line for this wonderful show.

    Disappointed is an Understatement

by Anon on 6/27/23BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival at Prospect Park Bandshell - Brooklyn

To be honest, this was probably the worst concert I’ve ever been to, of any kind, anywhere. There was so little singing and that deficit was certainly not filled with musicianship or any sort of performance wow-factor. It felt like I was peeking in on a garage jam session, and not in the cool way, but in the “I’m still trying to figure out who I am as a performer and musician, but I’m too tired to really give a #%*! right now” sorta way. Just all around terrible, from the opening act right to the end.

    MEH!!!

by Fan on 6/27/23BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival at Prospect Park Bandshell - Brooklyn

It was pretty good, the venue, service, setup, staff was great. However, I was in the impression that the concert in it of itself it would be more of a fuller concert, and not just hearing "Lalah Hathaway sing 2 songs from Robert Glasper's album. Although he is phenomenal, so is she standing in her own right, so it would have been nice to see more of her stand-alone with her own songs. I just expected more from artist/s Bilal, Lalah Hathaway, and the concert overall.

    BRIC PROSPECT PARK CONCERT

by Medium sized papi on 6/27/23BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival at Prospect Park Bandshell - Brooklyn

The concert line up was awesome - all the artists were on time and very entertaining BJ the Chicago Kid did an incredible job However, the stage set up was awkward - significantly blocked by the sound engineers Also since the park is public there was some noise interference from nearby revelers enjoying their own music The concession stand was VERY limited and more choices could have been offered
