The charging light bars indicate approx how much power is left and when you forget to replace the filter (duh) there’s an error indicator. Easy to empty, easy to swap accessories, perfect for carpets, hard floors, stairs, cars, ceilings, animal hair, mattresses, large areas and little crevisse ... I think the slogan is ‘where there’s dirt there’s Dyson’. Right on!

    It took me quite some time to review the many products on the market, but I knew that I was in need of a manageable cordless vacuum cleaner suitable for my new cottage, If a product has given a good review on the Amazon website I generally cross check the results with other independant websites for my final result. I have no hesitation in recommending the Dyson Cyclone V10 having now used the cleaner on my floors I am well pleased with result, I find that the use of the middle speed is more than enough to effectively clean. There is also a good range of tools included in the package, although I have not used all of them yet, I am satisfied that there is more than enough for any cleaning job. As for battery life, I have found than it's more than adiquate and quick and easy to charge up. I had not previously used Dyson products in the past but now that I have bought this one I am pleased that I have.

    This is a fantastic product, I am thrilled with it! It is so practical, just pick it off it’s wall mount and away you go. I have found that I don’t always need to have the power on full and the battery has not run out so far. The tools are all color coded at the point where they attach to the machine which makes it super easy to interchange and it is also a simple task to empty the bin.
    I would recommend it to anyone, it is worth every penny!

    Much more powerful than my previous handheld Dyson, on any of the three power settings. Battery life is very good, easily enough for a 4 bedroomed house, and the new slider system for emptying the dust works really well. With the Absolute + you get lots of powered and unpowered heads that can be used with or without the tube. It makes an odd sighing noise as the motor runs down, but that is a characteristic rather than a problem. Really excellent. You really don't need a mains one as well, as Dyson claim. It's a Which? 'Best Buy' as well I have found.

    This is easy to assemble and empty. It has lots of useful attachments. You can have it on high medium or low power. On high power suction is good but it runs out after about 5 minutes. I use medium which enables me to hoover all my two up , two down house and the furniture. In general, I just empty it at the end and this is easy to do. On this setting, the suction is not as good as my big hoover but the big plus and it is a really big plus is that I hoover more often because its so easy to pick up and use. Its very light and much quicker than a normal hoover. Thus overall my house is cleaner! Great for doing stairs, car, furniture. However, I think you might want more suction every now and again to ensure full cleaniness.

    We’ve used this Dyson everyday for over a year and it’s still doing a fine job. Yes battery charge usability has fallen off somewhat but then anything that uses a battery will suffer from this problem - its the nature of the beast. We just use it twice a day for half the time and this works for us.
    Accessories are still working fine and have required minimal maintenance - just the odd bit of cleaning which because of the design is very easy.
    We've used Dyson’s since they were first produced and wouldn’t dream of buying any other make.

    A couple weeks into it and I'm a fan. Yes it would be nice if the V10 as twice as much battery life or a swappable battery. It would be nice if my MacBook Pro had a better mechanical keyboard. You make trade-offs in life. But the mere cordless nature of it is a game changer and totally worth it. That can't be overemphasized. Especially if you mount the cradle on the wall with charging cord, so you can drop the Dyson in for recharging and storage, and just lift it out when you want to use.(Tip: I didn't want to damage my rented walls, so I used 3M Command adhesive velcro strips and a wooden plaque from the arts store to mount the cradle onto the wall, works fine.) It's so quick and easy to use, that's the real difference; it changes how you vacuum. Instead of vacuuming being some horrible chore that you try to gear up to do maybe once a week but procrastinate and ignore it for a month (at least in my case) -- now it's something you can do on a whim when you have 2 minutes. Waiting for your coffee to brew, vac the bedroom. Just before you leave for work? Stop and vac the other bedroom. Lift it off the cradle and you're done in 2 or 3 minutes. Have a high-traffic area you're concerned about keeping clean? Why not vac it every single day? The V10 makes it easy.

    It's an absolute fact that I used to spend as much time managing and winding and unwinding and plugging and unplugging the cord as I'd spend actually working my old vacuum. Thinking about that spurred me to get the Dyson, and the improvement is even better than I imagined. I also like that the head is smaller in all dimensions than my old Oreck, I find I can fit it into spaces I previously couldn't vacuum because they were just a bit too small for the Oreck. I dearly wish I had had the Dyson when I moved into my new apartment a year and a half ago, I fancy the carpet would still look brand new.

    So battery. Yes if the only way you insist on cleaning is to do the whole house in one session, you won't be well-served by the Dyson; the battery won't last you long enough.. But as I say above, this changes your approach. Don't devote your whole Saturday morning to vacuuming; do it in minutes-long spurts whenever you think of it throughout the week. I Iive in a 2 BR apartment, half hard floor and half carpet, and this is the perfect tool for keeping both surfaces clean, as well as using it for a lot of dusting (it's great that the accessory heads are so easy to swap.) I took it out to the car, and even without the extra car kit it did an excellent job using my various implements, with just a few crevices proving unreachable. I really could not be more pleased with this.
