Our dog has been shedding her winter coat and there are gobs of hair all over the floor. This little handheld vacuum is wonderful. We can go into small spaces where a traditional vacuum or Roomba cannot. It won't do a great job of hair that is trapped onto carpet or a towel due to suction power but it has been extremely helpful to us. You do have to clean the filters out as they can build up dust inside. Either throw it in the washing machine or buy replacements. We have taken this on trips with us and got a second one for our other house. Love this vacuum.

I've been using this vacuum for six months. For an urban, married couple, it's good enough. If you expect this vacuum to pick up the debris that comes with three kids and a dog, I would probably go with something bigger. I was a little surprised at how fast the "dirt tank" filled up. I found that going over the carpet with a sticky tape lint roller before using the vacuum helped a lot. The lint roller picks up the larger bits of gravel, dirt, leaves, hair etc. so the vacuum can work on the smaller stuff.

I've been using the lint roller once a week or so. Every two weeks I'll use the lint roller and the vacuum immediately after. The brush on the attachment is helpful for releasing stuck bits of dirt from the carpet and hard to reach areas. Occasionally the attachment will fall off the body of the vacuum but, if you periodically check to make sure it's pushed in all the way you can minimize that.

Emptying the dirt tank is best done in a well ventilated area. There is a filter that needs to be tapped on the edge of a garbage can to release the dirt. Replacement filters are sold for $9.99 for four. I've been throwing them away after three or four uses because, living in the city, I don't have anywhere I want to wash and dry them for re-use. At $2.50 per filter, I'm ok with treating them as disposable.

The battery lasts enough to get the two front carpets 100% clean. Then I'll have to take it in for a recharge. This is actually fine for me. My hand gets tired by the time the battery runs out anyway. The vacuum is just a round cylinder. It's not what you would call ergonomic in any way. However, unless you have arthritis or carpal tunnel you'll be ok using it for twenty minutes or so.

A few minor complaints... first: the power button. It is positioned in place where it can easily be turned off while you're using it. This was a problem until I figured out how to work around it. If you intend to keep this machine in the car, I strongly suggest you store it in the box it came in. I was driving my SUV one cold rainy night and the power button was activated from items shifting around in the rear of the vehicle. I really thought the noise I heard was an air conditioner vent in the back seat. Nope, it was the vacuum. Also, the dirt tank was full. So the air coming out was blasting stinky air all over my car while I drove.

If the vacuum is full of dirt, the air coming out of it will be somewhat stinky. Use it outside and you'll be fine. I wouldn't use it inside an enclosed garage without some kind of 3M dust mask.

Final complaint: the USB port is the old style USB. Most new electronics are using USB C by now. It's a little disappointing to get something I'll be using for several years into the future with this old USB cable.

Would I buy it again? Yes, with the lint roller assistance, I'm happy with it. Without the lint roller trick I probably would want something with a bigger dirt tray and a proper HEPA filter.

This little vacuum is just okay and not worth the money for what you get. It is nice and compact and would be useful to stay in a pantry for quick kitchen clean up but here are the things you won’t like about it: 1. The blower is on the bottom so while vacuuming it’ll blow your crumbs around 2. If you use it to vacuum up hair it’s super hard to clean out and sticks to the sides and small crevices 3. The charge doesn’t last long, maybe 5 very short uses before it needs recharged 6. Sadly the base doesn’t also charge it… would have been a big bonus is the base would keep it charged when not in use 7. The attachment for vacuuming falls off easy.
