I had an older salad spinner used for many years. I left it at my daughters home. We eat salads almost every day therefore I needed one ASAP. Im very happy I ordered this one. To spin the old one, you had a handle with a string. The pump on the new one is so much better plus it has a stop spinning button thats wonderful. You had to wait for a minute for the old one. This is a great improvement on this highly used tool. It gets the lettuce where its no longer wet. Love it.

Best kitchen gadget

Spins salad very efficiently. Easy to use, and top comes off easily to do each batch - I spun down 3 huge bowls of salad in only a few minutes. Not a lot of effort required, pretty easy to clean (just handwash this - don't use the dishwasher). This has a much bigger capacity than my previous spinner but not a whole lot bigger to store in the cabinet. The handle lock is nice - fits low shelves.

No drain holes on the bottom like my old spinner. I might drill some. I miss those b/c it's easier to just put this in the sink and it drains as you go. But not a big inconveniece. For now, I just spin, empty the outer container, spin again and it's ready for fridge storage.

Solid build, does a great job, easy to use

Excellent acquisition!

Love all Farberware products.  I've had their cookware since I was a newlywed (1983!!), they are still great.  Use the salad spinner almost everyday from salads, to herbs, have used the basket a couple of times in emergency for pasta draining.  Good company.  yes, recommend it.

Love Farberware products...you can trust them

I like the large capacity to wash fruits and vegetables before putting in the refrigerator or for making a last minute salad. It's great for washing a large cabbage as well.

Everyone needs this

This is my  first salad spinner. I've been debating whether or not this would be a good thing to have or just take up space in the cabinet.  It's great! Easy to use and it works. I washed and dried my lettuce 3 days ago with it and it's still fresh and crisp.  I'm so surprised and happy with this purchase.

Salad Spinner

I got it from Walmart. delivered to my house. It was a easy gadget to uses and I had all my fruit that I had purchased washed dried and in glass bowls in a matter of 30 minutes. I love this machine.!

Great idea for fruit lasting longer in the refrig!

I needed to upgrade my salad spinner that I've had for over 8 years.. This one was perfect. The bowl is a great size and catches all the water. The spinning mechanism makes it even easier to dry your lettuce quicker. Cleans easily.

Exactly what I needed

This doesn't do as good of a job as my last salad spinner (different brand/style), but it does alright. After spinning, it seems like the lettuce on the bottom is still more wet than it needs to be. Overall, okay, but I wish it worked a little better.

Does the job okay.

the salad spinner does not get the lettuce as dry as it should, not matter the size of the pieces. Also, there is only so fast it will spin, which is probably why its only gets the lettuce partially dry. I still have to dry it off with paper towels.
