Product Description

The redesigned Big House is a big deal for car campers and the perfect sized shelter for housing the whole family under one “roof”. Big enough for rainy afternoon card games under cover or for road trippin’ mountain bikers who prefer to stand up in their shelter while changing into something more comfortable. Optional Accessory Vestibule can convert these base camping tents from a simple structure to a cavernous escape from the sun or an unexpected change in weather. Shelter Mode lets you pitch it as a covered shelter without the tent body, and the backpack-style carry bag makes lugging gear from the car to the campsite more convenient than ever.

Just used the Big House this weekend and was super impressed with the quality of materials. Easy to set up once we got the hang of where the poles go. Loved the Welcome mat and double doors. We had a little rain and the rain fly kept our group nice and dry. We also purchased the footprint separately, and that helped protect the tent as well as keep us dry. Happy with our purchase - can't wait to camp again!

Great quality tent. It’s a bit of a hassle to get it set up but okay once you get the hang of it. It’s a tall tent so expect it to rise!

My only complaint are the zippers getting stuck EVERYTIME it’s used. You either have to pull out or push in to avoid it from catching on the protective lining. The good news is the the lining never even scratched or ripped no matter how many times it got stuck. But it’s still annoying. You will learn how to do it correctly but when you’re a few beers in and wanna get inside you may find yourself outside trying to undo the snag.

I made the mistake of buying this tent hoping it would be ok in 30 degrees overnight. Since the top is mostly mesh, it will be a great tent for Fall or Spring. I read the specs and knew it's not a 4 season tent, but decided to try away. I was not able to stay comfortably warm in it at night, so it's my fault.

Quality was high and a great tent otherwise.

Just got back from our first trip out with this tent and I gotta say I love it. Lots of storage pockets inside the tent , great airflow and rain protection when needed, easy to set up but my ONLY complaint is the zipper guards / covers. They CONTSTANTLY get caught up in the zipper and make it a pain to open and close the entry ways.

Worked as expected. The space was not as described. We used 2 twin size air beds which allowed us to leave about 8" between the beds and room at the ends of the beds for luggage. Would have been happier with the 8 person. Also, I did not experience issues that other purchasers had because I took heed to their warnings. Easy to set up but definitely needed 2 people. thank you,
