Differin Acne Retinoid Treatment Gel Adapalene 0.1%

This product has been amazing for my acne prone skin. My favorite product to use for spot treatment. It also works great under a pimple patch. A little goes a long way, so the tube lasts me months.

This product does work, however it states in the instructions to use daily. I do not recommend daily use as it does make the skin super sensitive. After a few days my skin felt irritated, dry, thin and very sensitive to touch. Also, if you get brow waxes do not use this product for at least a week or more before your wax. I was using daily and ended up getting burns from the wax because I did not realize it was this product making my skin senstive.

Never had anything that worked this well on my face. A great product with great functional packaging and comfortable to use - just be mindful to wash your hands after as I’ve noticed some staining on towels and tops

I use the uk version of differin so that’s why it might look different but I would actually die for this product. I had really bad acne and my doctor prescribed this to me and within months my acne was gone. In the image is the before and after like this product has change my life and I’m not saying that to be cringe it for real has. I literally recommend this product to everyone I know that suffers from acne like you need this. Plus it has anti ageing benefits too. My only down side is that I can’t seem to tan much on my face anymore which sucks but I would rather not have any acne tbh.

Differin is usually the least expensive of the adapalene gels available, so I tend to stick with it. I use this nightly because my skin is used to this and other treatments - if you have oily skin and can stand lots of chemical exfoliating, you may have the same experience. I use about a pea sized amount and spread it thin all across my face because it does a great job at preventing acne and fine lines/wrinkles.

This product is really good and worth the price. It works extremely well for my acne and is excellent at preventing it before it happens. It is lovely and carries no heavy fragrance

I've been using this for years. It keeps acne and fine lines at bay with regular use. I use tretinoin a couple times a week and this all other nights. My skin doesn't like being without it. My daughter uses it for acne management nightly and it does the job. We always pair it with a basic moisturizer. Benzoyl Peroxide gets added if a blemish shows up.

Very effective for both treating and preventing acne. A little goes a long way so it actually lasts long despite it being a small tube. This is the only medication that works for me every single time and I love that it doesn't irritate my skin or stain my clothes. No strong scent and very light. It can be drying, but if you use a good moisturizer afterwards, it should be fine.

I have just recently started using Differin and I can already see a difference! I have acne prone skin, and as a teen I would pick at my skin. So I do have some scarring and my pores look huge. Just after a week, my pores have started being visibly smaller!

This stuff works like magic at an affordable price. When I have a bad breakout I put a small dot of it on and it clears up my acne relatively fast. Must buy.

I have been using this for at least a decade. I am 38 now, and in the past it helped with acne...but I kept using it because I knew of scientific evidence of it being great as an alternative to tretinoin. I work in a highschool and the students all think I'm in my 20s (I'm not kidding) Use this with sunscreen in your 20s and you'll thank me later on down the road!

This is a dermatologist recommended staple in my routine. I use this every night in my routine and wake up with great skin! If it’s too harsh, you can even use the sandwich method. A little goes a long way and the directions are very clear about using only once a day! A tube lasts a long time. This is great if you want to reduce signs of aging, reduce scarring, and help any signs of acne.

This product has improved my skin and I get more compliments on it now. I get some hormonal acne around my period which this makes no promises to prevent or treat. I was expecting a bit of a more radical change, but overall I like the product and it lasts a long time. I will be purchasing it again and view it as a critical part of my skincare routine now. I started using it the day I got it at the end of October 2024 and it is now January 2025, and I still have a good amount left. I have used a pea sized amount everyday and never had issues with dry skin, however, my eye patches that I used to like to use for self care (which contain retinol), I can no longer use because the skin is more sensitive. I would highly recommend if you are new to this type of product to both work your way up in frequency and hydrate your skin properly to avoid over drying and peeling. I have found that my eyes in general are more sensitive and have had to switch my sunscreen because of that even though I avoid the eye area when applying this product. I use a peptide serum with hyaluronic acid, snail mucin, vanicream, differin, then vanicream again (sandwich method) and a light oil on top. It’s not a “holy grail,” but no product is, but it is an effective and affordable synthetic retinol product. I really like Differin! I was using prescription tretinoin for 2 years but I had to stop due to insurance issues. I switched to using Differin and there was a bit of residual purging for a couple weeks during the transition but after that I think the daily use has been working to control my acne.
