I have owned a 1L Lululemon belt bag for over a year and LOVE the versatility, comfort, quality, placement of zippers and pockets etc. If I could be the kind of person who can just carry their phone and get away with no purse at all I would. However, I do have essentials that I just need to have at all times. This belt bag is a perfect fit for my needs. It goes with everything and it is holding up to every day use. It holds a surprising amount of items without compromising shape and bulk. This bag is lightweight so that my items don't feel so heavy once I start filling the darn thing! I have owned similar belt bags, one in particular that was a higher end one, and I ultimately prefer this one because of its lightweight and yet sturdy quality of craftmanship.
I don't tend to go straight to the name brand products, if I knew that I could get the same experience with a generic, I will do so.
This brings me to why this is my second purchase of the same bag. My mom was gifted a Lululemon bag in white and she rarely uses it because of the color and her fear that she will get it dirty looking quickly. She mentioned that she wanted a black color as it goes with everything. She mentioned trying out a cheaper bag, that looks the same and has pretty good reviews. I did a deep dive into the comparisons and placement of zippers, belt buckle, pockets shape etc. I ended up getting her a Lululemon one because I have had such great luck with my own and I just didn't want to chance it. I look at it as if it were me, I would do that. If Lululemon decides to make any changes to their 1L belt bags, I might re-think that as there are far cheaper alternatives that I could potentially be just as happy with.
