Most treadmills in this price range lack certain functionality which this one includes. If you're doing your research and you have an idea of what factors are important to you consider some of the options offered here. The things important to me are:
1. Safe and secure folding mechanism - The hydraulic arm is dependable in case kids are playing where they are not allowed.
2. Width of the running belt
3. Shock absorption
4. Top speed - 9MPH, (5-7 is average jogging speed)
5. Modern interface - Best in its class
Things that were not important to me that were a very nice touch are:
1. Auto-incline - This is huge, I realize now how much I would have hated manual incline
2. Max-incline - 15 degrees is rather steep and feels nice
3. Built-in Speakers
4. Step counter
5. Track display
The box was very heavy and tricky to get into my lower level, but doable with a partner. Its mostly assembled, just 6 bolts which took less than 10 minutes. Oiling the track was a pain in the rear. Need to find a better way.
