This product is expensive, but you are not just buying a fan. You are purchasing better air quality. I love the simple design, but this unit is jam-packed with all kind of sensors. You can now check for air quality, temperature, and even humidity. The bladeless fan is icing on top.
This purifier does a fantastic job at eliminating allergens. We have 2 dogs and 2 kids. Anyone with kids will understand how much pollution they manage to bring into your home. I am constantly finding dirt, plants, rocks, and all kind of debris in their pockets. With this purifier, the family can breathe a lot easier. It makes the air feel cleaner and less musty.
The extra wifi features with Alexa is a nice touch. I do think the software needs a little update. I own multiple units and the voice command becomes too complicated to execute. They need to make it more intuitive in the next update. I want to be able to control my Dyson in the kitchen without the prompt "say 1 for the kitchen, 2 for the bedroom, etc..."
This unit is simple and effective. I must say during wildfire season in California, you definitely notice how amazing this air purifier really is.

Sleek, smart and kind of weak
First off this is a nice looking fan. The bladeless technology is impressive, and it isn’t an eye sore like conventional oscillating fans. It also oscillates which a lot of tower fans do not because of stability issues, so that’s a nice touch.Setup was easy, it came in two pieces, attach top to bottom and plug in. Ours is the “Smart” model that has an accompanying app and can also be paired with both Google and Alexa. From unboxing to giving voice commands through Alexa was about 7-8 minutes, so needless to say setup shouldn’t pose many issues and unlike similar pairing processes I had zero issues.The app is pretty basic and easy to navigate, within it you can turn the Dyson on/off, set speed, toggle oscillation, check air temp and quality and order a new filter for the built in air purifier.The fan does feel good, but even at it’s highest setting I can barely feel it about 10 feet away, and because I am always hot and we got it to combat our stuffy living room we will likely use higher settings so it also is a little loud, not like conventional fans but noticeable.The controller must be aimed directly at the vicinity of the power button which is located at the very bottom of the fan, so if anything obstructs it the controller is useless. Since I have the app and voice command functionality this isn’t such a big deal but absent of those features the controller would be frustrating to say the least, I’m surprised with such an expensive fan from such an innovative company that the controller is so flawed in its design, even our $35 fan has a controller that works from any direction, come on Dyson!In summary, if you want something sleek that will blend in and with smart settings can be easy to control, but don’t mind that it’s not the most powerful fan on the market then this is for you. It looks cool, works well and if the controller worked better and it was a little more powerful it would easily get 5 stars, instead: 4/5.
