I have used a Nathan running belt for several years. It served me well, and I had been very satisfied but it was showing its age and I decided to retire it for this newer model. I bought belt this in February, it worked very well initially. It handled bounce well. The utility straps are nice for gloves and I loved the larger pocket--in many respects it appeared an ideal and worthy replacement to my previous belt. Here we are now a little over two months later and it is now a total failure. This is the problem: The water bottles are supported in the belt by a sturdy plastic holder, the sturdy plastic holder is held tight against the belt and runner by an elastic strap. As you run, the up and down motion of your body causes the elastic to rub against the holder causing it to wear and stretch out. Mine is now so loose that the bottles flop around, banging against my back and falling out of the belt entirely. Not ideal when you're only a few hundred yards from the start of your run and you have to turn around and pick up your water bottle off the ground. I am not the only person with this issue. If you look at all the other 1-2 star reviews they are all individuals who come back several months later to complain of the same problem. In some cases I can see the elastic has broken entirely. Buyer beware of any review of this item with less than a few hundred miles of running. I am now returning my belt to the manufacturer. I pulled up their website. It looks like customer support is non-existent. I figured I could call or email someone, but the only way to get service is to mail the product to their facility.--what is this, 1980?

I wish they made waistbands a bit smaller, but it’s manageable at a size 28 waist.

Big fan of the separate zip and Velcro pockets. Zip for phone and card security, Velcro for quick access to gels and cards.

I’ve had both insulated and non insulated bottles, I prefer the non. I didn’t notice that the insulation held too well in the heat and against a hot body, and the non insulated bottles are just lighter.

This is my 3rd Nathan belt, first one has worn out after a few thousand miles and the holders for the water bottles were not reliable. The second is going strong still, but this one is better for holding the phone I carry these days along with a good run's nutrition when the vest is not needed or just too hot. Great products.

This running belt functioned great for a year. Water bottles are stellar for longer runs. Took off a star because of the zipper breaking after purchasing a year ago. Not terrible for a year of use, but disappointing when every other part of the belt is still in good working order.

The belt itself is comfortable and the zipper pocket fits an iPhone 12. The Velcro pocket doesn’t stay fastened and I nearly lost my keys on a sprint. The biggest issue is the water bottle holders. The poor design for the holders has the stitching and elastic inside the plastic which means every time you pull your bottles out, the elastic gets worn and the stitching tears. Once the wearing starts, the plastic isn’t as tight and your bottles start to bounce around against you.

Great for long runs. I have the Pixel 3XL and it just barely fits in the pouch, so that could be a little bigger. I wear it a little higher than what I believe it's intended for, but when I wear it just under my ribs it prevents the water bottles from "sloshing" around. Otherwise, it's a great buy for training sessions on both trail and road runs.

I have used the Nathan Speed belt which has a smaller pouch that will not hold a phone for years. After years of use the elastic that holds the water bottles finally deteriorated and I wanted to find a product that would carry a phone for safety. I have a Garmin and am not a fan of the Apple Watch for running so finding a way to comfortably carry a phone for 20 mile training runs is important to me. Now that Nathan has a belt that will accommodate a phone, I bought this hoping it would work for me. I have a 26 inch waist and 38 inch hips. Belts will not stay on my hips and I have to wear them around my waist. Unfortunately this belt just fits when it is pulled to the tightest setting. I thoroughly wash the belt with technical cleaner and water after each run to help prevent the breakdown of the fibers from body sweat. Unfortunately on runs lasing more than 90 minutes the sweat causes the belt to loosen and it begins moving and twisting on my body and I simply can not get the belt tight enough to remain in place and I chaffed pretty badly even with the use of anti chafing products. The Nathan Speed Belt came in XS which fit down to a 24 inch waist and I was able to tighten it on longer runs and it remained in place but will not accommodate a phone. I guess I will have to go back and find the Nathan Speed belt in an XS and wear my phone in an arm case during the summer when it's too hot to wear tights with phone pockets.

This is a nice running belt and I would recommend it if you are able to wear it on your hips without it riding up or if your waist is at least 28 inches or larger. Fits waist sizes 26 - 40 is a bit miss leading. It will fit a 26 inch waist when it is dry but not when it's been soaked by sweat. I know -- gross, but reality for 90 minute or longer runs.

Great way to hydrate while on the run! Initially, I was very hesitant to purchase the belt because I didn’t know how comfortable it’d be to have water strapped to my waist but I bought it anyway. Turned out to be a great decision. The belt fit comfortably and I forgot that I was wearing it within a few minutes of running. Very easy to grab the water bottles and replace them. Definitely recommend buying if you’re remotely interested in having water on you but don’t want to wear a camelbak.

A shame as it's very comfortable but it does bounce a lot and the bottles have fallen out on every run. Returning for a refund. Definitely not useful for trail running.

1.0 out of 5 stars Flaschen halten nicht und wackeln
Reviewed in Germany on April 22, 2023

1.0 out of 5 stars Water bottle carrier broke day 1

I've used this in the past and its been ok, however i bough a brand new one for an ironman event, when about 10km into the run the plastic carrier snapped leaving me with one bottle for the remaining 32.2km.. i was not happy.
