    I bought this as a Christmas present for my mom and she loves it. She has shoulder length, straight and thin hair. It dries her hair perfectly and quickly and keeps it soft and helps with frizz. I have 2b hair, thick and somewhere between curly and wavy hair. It took less time to dry my hair than a normal hair dryer but only by maybe 20 minutes. It dried the top layer of my hair quickly but didn't reach the under layers of my hair, I would have had to flipped my head over and that's a no-no for frizz. I should also mention that just because it's a dryer don't forget the proper method of brushing thick curly hair, start at the bottom and work your way up. I got carried away and started at the top and it almost instantly got stuck in my hair and began to rip out some of my hair in addition to snapping and splitting some hairs. That was probably on me though so if you don't do this it should be fine. Also, with thick curly hair take your time gliding the brush through. It works way better that way and doesn't get caught in you hair as much. Speed brushing, even after getting it brushed and tangle free, causes the dense bristles to get stuck in your hair. Because my hair is curly and I have a lot of baby hair on the top of my head my hair still frizzed I didn't use any friz control products either. Honestly though it works great for my mom I would not use it for myself. When I finished using it my hair was mostly straight but not in a fashionable way. It looked like someone did a bad job flat-ironing it, and for some reason I couldn't run my fingers through my hair without my hair getting tangled afterwards. Also be warned, the gold part get HOT so don't let it touch your ears and keep your hair away from the tip of the brush as hair always get stuck in it. I know this seems like a harsh review but I think it's a good product that works well for people with a certain hair types, namely straight or thin hair. If you have hair like mine you could probably get it to work well for you if you practiced with it and put in some extra effort, like anti-friz products and flat ironing afterwards, I just don't want to put so much extra effort into drying my hair. It is a good product, especially after I read a bunch of reviews comparing it to other similar products and found this one to be the best. Plus it has a good warranty and I found a lot of others didn't (or had a short warranty period) and broke shortly (only a fur uses or moths) after the initial use.     This hair dryer is POWERFUL. It definitely dries hair fast. I have asian hair which is always a beast to tame. It work well! It goes through my hair smoothly, has a long cord and I'm very happy with the results! My only complaint is that IT IS SO LOUD!! LIKE LAWN EQUIPMENT LOUD.

    Originally I ordered the detachable but the sent the non so I'm hoping they'll let me review both when my replacement comes.

    Nondetachable: has low and high setting and cool down towards the bottom by the cord on the back. Had to look for it. This thing gets HOT! I have no problem believing that it will work on girls with thicker heavier hair. It should even work on really right curls if you do the right prep. I washed my hair last night and blew mine out this morning. I have a bit of kinky/wavy curl but it's weak so it came out without too much struggle. Section your hair! It will help you not miss any pieces and over do any ones you've already done. Towards the top of my head I turned the heat too low and was wishing for an extra heat setting. My hair is medium fine and medium thick density. The cool setting feels like it will never get used while you have your hair around the brush. (Going from hot to cool to set) it's placed in such a way as to be awkward to get too. I'm hoping on the 2.0 that that isn't the case. The cool tip on the top will get quite warm eventually and I found myself moving my hand down to the handle even with turning the brush off after each section. It probably got 30 sec of cool down time in between while I resectioned. Pretty decent brush. My hair did catch in the tip right away so be sure to wrap it around straight and not let it get by the seams. It'll catch for sure.

    Replacement: was the wrong kind again.
