I had more berry and I lightly dob it on versus putting it on like a lipstick. It offers a nice natural tint to my lips that I love, even on no makeup daysI wanted a brown lip cuz it's my classic red lip so to speak.I think it's so pretty and suits my features. One pic is using it as a tint and another pic shows the comparison of tinting and wearing as lipstick. I do find wearing as a lipstick, it tends to bleed into my lip cracks more. I blot it quickly and even wiping off it leaves a stain and I love that. Ponds cold cream and/or micellar water gets it off and I use micellar water if I need to fix the edges.Also, when I poured thru the reviews about this lipstick, I didn't see much or any at all, reviewing more coffee so I think it's unique and lovely. Again, I love a natural pink but brown is my jam.

I already have very true/blue red lipsticks that are beautiful, and I love red - I just had a hunch that I needed it to lean a little more orange without being an orange lipstick, and this was it. I'm glad I took a chance bc to be honest the name 'more scarlet' would have a different connotation to me without seeing in person. Love!

Beautiful colors and the stay is long wearing. It has a nice moisturizing effect that doesn’t leave the lips sticky. Compared to a different shade that was purchased in a store- this formulation was more drying- perhaps it was stored incorrectly or old.

Overall, it’s an affordable lipstick and produces long lasting color- I don’t notice the feeling on my lips and the scent isn’t cloying. It doesn’t drag across the lips from it moisturizing

I have about 8 different shades in this line and absolutely adore them:
- I love the long, thin aesthetic of the component they come in
- Shade range is awesome and I find that the colours are quite accurately captured on here, therefore I’ve never experienced any surprises w respect to how they look in person
- Very comfortable formula - not fully transfer proof, but they won’t move around on your lips or gather in the centre, nor will they dry your lips out
- longevity is good, but they will fade (but not in that blunt patchy way) so keep it w you for touch ups OR, once fading starts, if you pop a balm or gloss over the top (optional: then use a CLEAN finger to gently run across your lips to redistribute the product) and you’re good to go!

If you’re on the fence, I’d say go for it. Maybelline absolutely killed it w this lippie (and their other formulas are mostly bomb too).
