  • Use our application mitt to blend for an even, streak-free finish. As with all our self-tanners, you need to apply to well exfoliated, clean, dry skin free of moisturizers.

  • Our Liquid Gold range is our longest lasting tan. It lasts for approximately a week and fades evenly.

  • The foam has a minor color guide that disappears once rubbed into the skin. The best way to apply is to stand in front of a mirror with good lighting so you can see where you are rubbing it in. Ensure that you are blending each area really well.

  • Liquid Gold Foam requires no wash off! You can apply the foam, put clothes on and go about your day as normal with the tan developing over the next 6 - 8 hours.

  • The main difference is the consistency of the formulation. Our Dry-Oil can be sprayed directly to the skin or an application mitt. The Foam is a hydrating, light foam that you apply to an application mitt. Both products leave you looking bronzed!

Gross smell, nice results
It smells very metallic when it’s first applied & for the first few hours. I put it on after I shower before bed & let it sit overnight. Then I workout in the morning & wash off in the morning & it leaves a nice tan. Careful with the knees & ankles, like every other self tanner out there. I use the tanologist gradual on my knees & ankles as a barrier & 2 pumps of product on each leg & I wake up with an even, pretty tan. I only use self tanner on my legs so 1 bottle lasts me a month so I’m good with it being on the subscription. I rotate between this & the b.Tan spray because it has green in it to cancel out when I get too orange from this. If you’re of Mediterranean decent or similar & already have an olive complexion, this will work great for you without the need for another product to cancel out the orange since the natural undertones will already balance it out. I have Scandinavian descent so I’m just translucent. So pale I look sickly 😂 hence why I need both products to balance out. I don’t have the patience to do the express tans and then shower it off an hour later or whatever, I just use this & I put it on like regular lotion. So for even a quick, lazy application, I get good results, which is why I prefer gradual. Thank you for coming to my Tan Talk😉

    I use the BS mousse and use this to freshen my tan and especially on my hands, which I wash a lot so I need to apply every night before bed. Great neutral brown color no orange at all. I’m pretty pale, blonde hair blue eyes red/pink undertones cool skin tone. Violet tanners make my skin look very red/purple but green base cancels the red and pink undertones really well.

    I bought two bottles and gave a third bottle as a gift for my sister. The tan is very gradual. It isn’t dark. If you have white skin, it just takes away that pasty white look in the winter. It is lightweight. The smell is nice. It was easy to blend. I use about one pump per area. For example one pump on each arm and one pump for calf, one pump for thigh and so on, so with the amount I was using it didn’t last too long. However I tend to over use products so that might not be the case for everyone.

    It works, but I kind of hoped it would be darker. This is probably the lightest/mildest tanning lotion I've ever used. If you're looking for something very subtle, this is your product! Just not personally what I was hoping for.

    Otherwise, the application is good; a little goes a long way, and as long as you have a good application technique, it'll be pretty even. The smell is pleasant - like a mixture of chocolate and coconut. The only area that became a little splotchy and oversaturated was my toes. I use a makeup brush (blush brush) to apply the product to my hands and feet and go very lightly on my fingers and toes (and my fingers were fine), so again, not sure what happened there, but it could be user error. I decided to start skipping my toes after my third application and they look okay now. Oddly, it seems like it really does not want to stick to my shins, and I know you're probably thinking that's probably because of shaving, but it sticks to my arms better than anywhere on my body and I shave those more often than everywhere else. Very weird, but I'm going to assume that's probably due to some unknown thing that I'm doing.

    Zero patchiness with fading, though I may be applying it too often to give it a chance to fade. I shower every two days and applied this every other day. If it was applied not on a shower day, I dry brushed my body first.

    Do not apply this to your face, it will dry it tf out. It does not dry the skin on my body out, but it was so drying on my face I swear it temporarily gave me new wrinkles. Can't explain that either 🤷‍♀️.

    After 4 full body applications, I am ~⅔ of the way through the bottle, so assume you'll get around 6 full body applications from it. A little does go a long way but you're still using a lot of product at a time. It goes quicker than you expect.

    I have had zero issues with this color transferring to anything but skin! My boyfriend helped me apply it to my back, with gloves, and he still managed to get a noticeable streak on his arm and thigh somehow, lol. However, I do not wear many white clothes nor do I have light sheets. My sheets are brown, and all the underwear and pajamas I wore after applying this (and standing naked for ~5 minutes to let it set) were dark in color. Lighter colors worn the day after application saw no transfer. YMMV.

    Overall, I was not wholly dissatisfied with this product but I will not be buying it again. I probably would if it yielded a darker result.
