Wish This Were A Foundation-Love The Shade Range!!

I picked this up at Ulta, it dropped there first. Here is the scoop: I love the fact that it has a white cap so we can differentiate between the original 16 hour concealer and this one. Other than that difference, the bottle, doe foot, etc. are the same. For the sake of this review I did not prime under my eyes, I wanted to give this product a full test. I am 55, very dry and sensitive skin. You can see lots of my life's stories under my eyes in the form of creases and wrinkles. I chose the color that I thought would best suit my skin and I was happy to find that color matching was easy. And, there are quite a few shades to choose from! (thank you elf for listening!) I applied this product after lightly moisturizing my skin and found that it definitely has more play time than the original 16 hour concealer. A little still goes a long way though. I loved the satin finish and the way it made my skin look more vibrant. I also used some on other areas of my face and just really enjoyed the blend-ability and the skin like finish, really pretty! I finished my makeup, went out about my day and night and after 12 hours checked back in. The concealer still looked amazing on my skin, under my eyes I could tell I definitely needed to prime, just like with the original, but it had not gathered weirdly, it still looked great it just looked dry. But, like I stated earlier, I have super dry skin so I truly expected this to happen since all concealers do this if I do not prime. My final thoughts are this: if you have oily skin you probably will not need to prime under your eyes before use. If you have dry skin, I suggest trying this with a primer and moisturizer. If you have sensitive skin, spot test. If you are sensitive to scents, there is no noticeable scent. If you need a long lasting concealer that lasts, pick this up. I highly recommend. I really would love to see this in foundation form, with a few more shades in the mix. It is that good. Highly recommend picking up two.

Not that great

I've heard all the rave reviews about the original version of this concealer, but there were many complaints that it's too dry, so I never tried it. I've been pretty impressed by other drugstore concealers with the same concept and giant doefoot applicator, but there's always room for improvement. When I saw there was a new hydrating camo concealer, I thought it had to be good with the high coverage and long wearability of the original combined with a more hydrating finish. Sadly, this concealer is only medium coverage and it wears just ok. I've had days where it creases and totally disappears, and other days where it stays put with just average creasing. The coverage is not impressive, though. You have to pile it on to get coverage, which adds to the texture and creasing problem. I would not buy this again. It's probably good for people with dry skin, average to minor dark circles, and overall clear skin. If you need more coverage or have combination to oily skin, this isn't the concealer for you.
