The Pump Never Engages

Long-time user. This is the third time I have bought this product in the past year, and the pump never engages. I have to take the pump that I saved from a much older bottle and reuse it with the new bottle, then toss the new pump out. No, I am not mechanically challenged. Yes, I see the two slots on the bottle cap that the pump should engage with. Engaging the pump should be a simple twist and pump. Yes, I like the product. I use it daily, but I will never buy the bottle again. Instead, I will switch to the refill bag and pour the contents into the old bottle.
