The design strategy of this home is a juxtaposition of warmer materials contrasting with marble and grey walls. It's not the biggest home in our collection, but it makes the best out of what could be quite a tight space. The fringed lamp over the dining table sets a playful mood and works well with the large statement art piece on the wall. We loved the two balconies that provide great views of the São Jorge castle, one of them also serving as an abundant source of daylight for the bedroom.

Although this home can accommodate 4 guests, two will be sleeping on a sofa bed
There is no TV in this home
The entrance to this home, as well as some of the passageways are quite narrow – those with wheelchairs or large suitcases beware
The kitchenette is only furnished with the most basic essentials
The bathroom is only accessible via the bedroom, something to keep in mind if you have guests sleeping on the sofa bed
The double bed is composed of two single mattresses put next to one another
There is a building site next door with planned completion in 2024 – noise is to be expected on weekdays and although out of your hosts' control, a goodwill refund of 20% per affected night will be offered for any noise disturbance
