Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
The knife is great, the handles are starting to delaminate. It sharpens well and is great to use but as the handles deteriorate, I'm pretty sure that I'm going to have to replace the knife sooner, rather than later.
This was a gift for a friend's grandmother who loves to cook. Her parents came from Italy; so it was important to me that the mezzaluna was made in Italy. This one is. I have a mezzaluna very similar to this which had been given to me by a friend's mother when I visited Italy. I love using it for finely chopping onions, herbs, and lettuce. This would be a great tool for someone with carpal tunnel syndrome, because the chopping movement comes mainly from the upper arms and not the wrists.
What a rip off. I should have known that any knife under $30 would be. Calling it a knife is a mistake. All it is, is a piece of shinning steel(?) with two handles on it. Eppicotispai, I thought this was some kind of brand name. I guess not. This word was no where on the knife expect on the picture displayed on Amazon. No edge AND after two hours of stoning still no edge. No temper won't hold an edge. In one word, JUNK. I only have myself to blame.
Great for kitchen use. We have a large vegetable garden and I prepare the harvest to store in the 3 three freezers which we have. Some vegetables---such as collards--- need to be cut into small pieces before packaging. This knife is ideal for that.
I adore kitchen gadgets and this one is top notch! Nigella uses one so this was all the recommendation I needed and it does not disappoint. I am prone to slicing myself to shreds whenever I have to slice and dice and this little beauty has allowed me to avoid my usual blood-letting fate. And it also makes me feel grown-up and Nigella-like. Go for it if you are so inclined!
