Designed by Black artist Kehinde Wiley, this iron-on patch highlights a model from one of his paintings. Wiley’s style has become iconic, and the faces in his portraits are so memorable that they are instantly recognized as his work. The patch is made from sublimated polyester and can be ironed-on clothing or your favorite accessories, such as a backpack. (Use a cloth between the patch and the iron while ironing onto fabric.) Each patch is a reproduction of a detail from Wiley’s paintings.

Choose from three patches, each sold separately:

  • Napoleon Leading the Army over the Alps, based on the 2005 painting of the same name, reimagined from Jacques Louis-David’s equestrian portrait, Napoleon Crossing the Alps. Measures 4h x 3.25”w.
  • Yellow Wallpaper II, based on the 2020 painting Portrait of Asia-Imani, Gabriella-Esnae, and Kaya Palmer. The models for this series were scouted in the East London Neighborhood of Dalston. Measures 3h x 3”w.
  • World Stage Africa Patch, based on the 2008 painting Matar Mbaye II. Measures 3h x 3”w.
