Broke on the first trip
The Bag came with a small scratch in the lower end, which caused the zipper to break on the 3rd day of my 1st trip. The zipper opens the lower shoe compartment, so it's not crucial but I expected better quality from Thule.Otherwise the bag is very well designed and can fit a week worth of cloths.

    The bag is lightweight and can hold a spare set of shoes in a separate compartment. I think it’s a great flight carryon option for 2-3 days of clothes depending on what you need to pack. I def think it’s perfect for a short business trip. The laptop sleeve that is included is easily removable so you could take that out and put the bag in the overhead compartment. It would also work fine for a non-flight option but considering the price you could probably get something a lot cheaper like a duffel for a weekend drive. Build quality is excellent though as is usually the case with Thule. I like the metal zippers a lot. They feel great and

    I purchased this convertible carry on backpack as well as the Subterra roller and just came back from a week long trip with the family. Love that the size is perfect for united carry on and fits on top of the roller. The bag is definitely bigger than the roller because there are no wheels or handle taking up the max space. Would love to buy for entire family if it weren’t for that cost. Seems like will last for years.

    Love the colors and love the design. Was really hoping the laptop sleeve would accommodate a 17 inch laptop. I can't use a smaller computer and couldn't find any information about the sleeve size that came with this backpack. It states on the hangtag for the bag that it accommodates 15 inch laptops. The laptop area of the bag is plenty large enough. Just wish Thule had made the sleeve just a tiny bit larger and it would have accommodated all laptop sizes!! UGGGHHH!!! I am keeping the backpack and just not going to be able to use the sleeve. The compartment in the back is plenty big enough. Just frustrated with a lack of info on this issue so I decided to write this post. Especially for people like me who wanted a good looking backpack to accommodate a larger computer. FYI, big back packs do not always accommodate big computers!!

There is a separe compartment in which you may take a spare laptop bag for business. Sturdy and well made. Very happy with it. For those who are looking for a hiking backpack, I do not recommend. While there are backpack straps, they are for light use and short distances. The side strap is very convenient as well.
