I already have 2 comparably-priced whole room air purifiers, made by Winix, and they are great. But I like this one better.This air purifier not only complements any decor, but also packs a powerful punch against pollutants.Design and Build Quality: The Morento boasts a minimalist design despite its solid construction. The longer version: The air purifier came very well packaged. I purchase a different one about a year ago that was broken into several pieces. The instructions for unpacking it and setting up the filters are very clear. Note that there are two filters, one for each side of the unit that draws in air, and they are both packaged with plastic around them that must be removed.
It was easy to download app in iOS and to connect to the air purifier and in turn connect it to wi-fi. It would be nice if the app included some historical information about air quality, run time, etc. I haven’t had a chance to look at it very much so maybe it’s there, but if it isn’t I hope they will add those features.
The printed manual and quick start guide and connection guide are very clear, though to be honest they’re almost unnecessary, the app is simple to use and a fine way to control the air purifier. The timer function works and the air purifier is easy to control from the app, whether to set the timer, change mode, power on and off, etc.
Functionally, on lowest setting there is a noticeable fan sound but for a unit this size it is not very loud, about the loudness of a humidifier. At the highest setting the fan is very loud but it is not clear to me why you would run it at that speed for very long if it is to be used in a home or office. It seems to do a fine job at the lowest setting.
The unit is not very heavy and it is easy to move it from room to room. The AC adapter cord is sufficiently long to make placement easy.
Another suggestion: It might be nice if the outflow vent was a little adjustable so direction could be modified, even if slightly.
I have included some images with this review so you can see how well it works. It is not entirely clear how it displays air quality though the display says it is tracking PM2.5. The sensor I have measures CO2 ppm, and while the display tracks up or down with the sensor it is hard to correlate the CO2 number and what is on the display. That is not a concern, just that perhaps the manual could provide some more clarity about how it is measuring particulate matter or other forms of air quality (e.g., where is the sensor located?).
Overall this is a high quality air purifier, I am very impressed with its functionality.
