”For another year, Grado's open-backed headphones are the ones to beat.” ’What Hi-Fi?’ 2023 award-winner.
Upgrade to metal
Unique within the Prestige range, the SR325x headphones use metal, rather than plastic housings. These help reduce resonance, giving you a clearer, more precise sound quality.
More consistent balance
With the handpicked drivers matched to just 0.05dB, the SR325x headphones sound more consistent and evenly balanced across the soundstage. When combined with the L Cushion design pads, you get a holographic sound stage with all the instruments surrounding you in ‘thin air’.
8-conductor cable
Using an 8-core cable, the SR325x makes the perfect connection. The cable also features super annealed copper wire for improved purity, making the sound even more lifelike.
Fourth generation, X Series driver
The fourth generation of SR325 gets the latest X Series drivers for reduced distortion and enhanced response. Tuned specifically for the SR325x, the combination of more powerful magnets and reduced voice coil mass helps improve the headphones' efficiency and speed of response. This not only reduces distortion but also improves the harmonic response, meaning the sound is closer to the original than ever.
New leather headband
Exclusive to the SR325x model, the headband is fashioned from luxurious leather and features unique stitching. Combined with the metal housings, it marks the SR325x out as something special within the already impressive Grado Prestige range.
Durable design
Always a durable design, the SR325x features an even tougher cable. Essential in a pair of headphones that are designed for music on the move, the high quality connection cable has a more durable exterior. Folding earpieces make the headphones easy to pack once you’ve arrived at your destination.
Hand-built in Brooklyn
Each pair of SR325x headphones is hand-built in Brooklyn. With a history that stretches right back to 1953, the company is still run by the Grado family, giving continuity to the product design and style. Evolution rather than revolution has kept the Grado headphones at the peak of their game and top of their class.
For Prestige at its best, take a listen to the Grado SR325x and prepare to be impressed.

Spellbinding cans
I bought these on the strength of the reviews. I really thought how great can any pair of headphones be? As I don't listen all that much at home I wondered if they'd be worth a chunky hunk of change. Well, I'm convinced! The answer is these are a spellbinding listen! Just such musicality, joy and dynamism, and also dig up a decent amount of detail and clarity. I just don't know how Grado did it but I'm glad they did. I have a pretty high end hi-fi all Naim and B&W but it doesn't have the downright pleasing tone, spaciousness, detail, timing and ability to rock that these do, the music just 'reaches' into you....and that's straight out of my phone jack. I actually prefer that sound than from an audiophile high-res source. If you love music get a pair you won't be disappointed an easy 5 star.

Great Sound and lightweight
Bought these headphones a few days ago; arrived next day and tried straight away. Must say they are really light weight but the sound is phenomenal. I use them whilst playing my keyboard as well as for normal music listening. Great for both!

Fabulous
Having trawled through reviews I cam to my fave hi fi retailer. These headphones replace aging dt550s which were playing up. The clarity and the depth of sound not to mention the deep but not oppressive base make these a superb purchase. A full sound at a low volume means I cam listen whilst my wife watches TV.

Brilliant sound and great service
Did my research on headphones, Hifi Choice, What Hifi and Internet review sites... Decided on Grado SR325x.
Visited my local Richersounds in Watford got good advice regarding the Grado sound. Listened to the SR80x which the staff connected to an Arcam that allowed me to stream music and listen to these.. they were very good and I enjoyed the sound. Ordered their big brother, sonically, which arrived a couple of days later... Listening to them at home, if I thought the SR80x was good these are in a different league.. I can see why they are so highly praised and recommended. WOW.. but you need to hear these for yourself. You will not be disappointed. Remember they are on ear, open backed but Enjoy the music.

Rock sounds - Grado gives
Grado are not a choice for neutral listening. Their generic sound suits 70s/80s rock amazingly well and after swapping the ear pads to over ear Dekoni they are not only comfortable but the added “space” of the sound is so engaging.

A revelation in generating a Huge Sound.
SR325X : My first go with Grado. I was curious about the brightness of the sound that I've read about. I've moved across from closed-back headphones which were fine, but always felt a bit isolated and stifling - which is sensible enough as they are enclosed.
The Grados are a revelation. The sound feels huge. I can see what people mean about the mid range pop - but I'm currently listening to ACDC live at the River Plate and it's sounding breathtaking. I've seen ACDC live twice at Hampdon, and listened to them on many stereos (including pretty nice Monitor Audio Bronze/Audiolab setup). Simply NOTHING has come anywhere close to reproducing the Being There feeling of the band live as these 325x Grado through Dragonfly Cobalt DAC. It gave me enough of a nostalgic flashback to actually make me cry. So don't do that if testing them in a shop.
I also don't hear anything much missing from the Bass. It's there in abundance with a really nice attack. Get Lucky by Daft Punk still sounds great, and the noodly guitar really pops out too.
So I'm really very pleased indeed - it's huge upgrade in sound quality from AKG K371.
Also, Sheffield staff were really helpful letting me try a different Grado model for size and saying I could get a refund if I didn't like this model once it was delivered. Thanks for great service (no surprise from Richer Sounds).

Great sound and generally comfortable!
Bought the SR80x a few years back and loved it so much I thought I'd get the SR325x as well. The sound on the 325x is amazing, I love how it sounds when listening to instrument-heavy tracks as well as vocals. The bass on this is a lot stronger compared to the 80x as well, and I can definitely hear the improvement between the two models. My only small complaint is that the grip force and pads are a bit tight/hard and need some adjustment, but it's worth it for the sound it delivers. Definitely try out the range first before buying, but I was familiar with the sound beforehand and so I didn't think it as necessary to do this before deciding to purchase these cans. Would definitely recommend!
