Product Description
Portal 2 is a unique first-person Action-Puzzle-Platforming game that tests player's ability to think and act creatively as they use the game's ingenious wormhole creating portal gun to produce their own paths through otherwise sealed surfaces and across the open spaces of the game. Sequel to the original Portal game -- the surprise add-on hit included in Valve Corporation's 2007 release The Orange Box -- Portal 2 continues the storyline from the first game, featuring both new and returning characters, and poses a range of new challenges making for a much deeper game. Additional features include a new two player co-op mode and an original soundtrack.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 4, 2021MY wife completed this game in 2 days, with very little trouble. It is a fun "think outside the box" type puzzle game and we love that the single player and two player story lines are different

5.0 out of 5 stars Denkspaß für kompetente Spielpartner

5.0 out of 5 stars Built on everything that was good about the first game
Portal is , for me, one of the best games of the generation. I'd discovered the first when buying the Half Life 2 Orange Box collection for Xbox 360 Half-Life 2: The Orange Box (Xbox 360). I had no idea what to expect and had been blown away but this fairly short but brilliant puzzle game, a game that was just different to anything else I'd played (and that had probably the funniest ending I'd seen).
This game builts on the puzzle foundations of the first, still built around the portal gun and using it to open portals within your environment to solve puzzles (using the environment and it's obstacles and devices) and work your way through it's environments, whilst adding new elements such as gel guns to add a whole new dimension and range of puzzles.
This expanded on all of that whilst adding a much longer game and more of a story with some brilliant voice work from Stephen Merchant. In doing so it delivered a brilliant single player game that, for me, would have been worth the money alone.
On top of this though the game also delivers a co-op campaign, making use of the tools and environments but making it essential to work with your partner to solve the puzzles, again brilliant.
Portal 2 is a game i'd recommend to anyone. It's fun, it makes you think and it's like nothing else.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really good interesting and challenging puzzles
Really good interesting and challenging puzzles, genuinely funny through out, both single player and multiplayer.
Co op is great, provided neither/both of you have done the same levels before. One of the best coop games I have ever played, even good for people who aren't really that into gaming, and good for getting used to controlling from a first person perspective.
Also the coop element allows them to do even more interesting and ingenious puzzles now there are 4 to use, and both players have equal parts, it's not just one person doing all the work.

4.0 out of 5 stars a excellent game with little replay value...
i played the first portal on the Orange box back in 2007 and was very impressed on how original it was with its fantastic puzzles, portal 2 is certainly no different. the puzzles here are very well done and the game is fun and challenging, there's a full single-player story mode and a 2 player co-op mode, both are excellent and unique from each other. valve are one of my favorite game company's and may delay games a lot, but you'll always get good quality original titles from them, so, i'd say they are worth the long wait and i really hope they make a 3rd game.
unfortunately, portal 2 is a little short and once both the single-player and co-op levels are complete, the game can't really be replayed - because you'll know how all the puzzles are solved. but, if you have xbox live there is now a challenge mode DLC that does breath new life into both 1 and 2 player modes. i'm not sure how you get this without xbox live unless a game of the year edition is in the shops but i've not seen it yet. as of last year valve announced they will be releasing a level editor, so all the game will benefit from this. i, and indeed everyone else that owns this game will be very happy with this good news.
overall - its a great game, and if you have not played this yet then you really should. as its a 8/10 easily.
