Fast and easy. Had an old Samgung TV that would not download the apps that I commonly use like YouTube. This device took about 5 minutes to set up was all set up with all the apps I use on my other TV and devices. All you need is a good internet connection and you're good to go, no monthly fees or anything to worry about.
One thing to note is that the remote that comes with the device only controls the ROKU functions, not your TV functions like power on/off or volume. So if you have the original remote for the TV, you have to switch between the two remotes depending on what you're wanting to do. Although, I'm sure that there are universal remotes out there that could be programmed to work for the TV and the ROKU unit, I just haven't investigated that far yet. This one gets and A+ from me. $20 turned a nice TV that was otherwise useless to me into a nice functional bedroom TV!

Has tech problem that ROKU tech doesn't seem to care about. (FIXED)
Current Review: (2nd attempt to update review) The TV-Computer Gods has blessed me !!!!!!!!!! Roku magically started working again a couple of days ago !!!!!!!! Perfectly!!!!! Just like new!!!!!!!! I had been trying it once a day until I had time to make a deep dive into more troubleshooting and out of the ether, it works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really, really, really like Roku again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review is now changed from 0 stars to 10 stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Previous Revew a couple of weeks ago: I've used a 3960X-Roku Express for 10 months and was VERY, VERY, VERY HAPPY with it. It was my perfect solution to watching TV. HOWEVER, NOW: All of the other channels/apps work perfectly while the ROKU channel totally quit working. It allows me to select a ROKU show on both "Live ROKU" and "ROKU Channel", loads the show description, and then won't load the actual show. The screen stays black with a "loading circle arrow" spinning. Did a lot of internet searching. I found many, many others with the same problem and not a single technical support fix. Just tech reps' canned "get me more info", try this, try that,but not a single real fix. (I tried them all. Even the factory reset.) [My gut feeling is that somewhere (in the local "box" or my account at ROKU), there is a memory overflow.] I did find a few references to clearing memory cache (didn't work), increasing MicroSD card size (mine doesn't have this), etc.
