Weber Summit S Series Gas Grills
Welcome to Top of the Line
These outstanding grills are the crown jewels of the Weber family. From exclusive features to the highest level of performance, these babies will make even seasoned grillers blush.
Weber's Original Gas Grilling System
Notice how sturdy the shroud feels as it opens smoothly on its hinges? See how the burners roar to life on the very first try? Delighted by how simple it is to achieve a mouthwatering meal every time? It's no accident. Weber spends countless hours perfecting the grilling systems on its gas grills, assuring easy assembly, an evenly heated cooking surface, and precision controls so you can tone things down or up to the perfect heat level for direct or indirect cooking.
Cookbox and Shroud
The cookbox houses the components of the cooking system: cooking grates, burner tubes, Favorizer Bars, and the grease management system.
Made of cast aluminum, Weber's gas-grill cookboxes are durable, efficient, require minimal care and maintenance, and can withstand the heat needed to grill at any temperature. In addition, the shape of the cookbox, when combined with the shroud, allows for the proper circulation of heat around food for even cooking whether you're using direct or indirect heat.
Cooking Grates
Weber gas-grill cooking grates come in three exceptional materials: porcelain-enameled steel, stainless steel, and porcelain-enameled cast-iron. Each type retains heat evenly and sears food beautifully. Porcelain-enameled steel cooking grates are durable and easy to clean. Stainless steel rod cooking grates make lovely sear marks, hold heat very well, and clean up with ease. Porcelain-enameled cast-iron cooking grates combine the ease of porcelain-enameled with the superior heat retention of cast-iron--no need to season and easy to clean.
Burner Tubes
Weber's burners are made of high-grade stainless steel, which will stand up to the small amounts of water found in liquid propane and natural gas. The burner tubes are made of a singular piece of steel with no welds, making them stronger and more resistant to rust and burn-through. And while they are protected from grease drippings and food by the Flavorizer bars, Weber cart gas grill burner tubes can be cleaned easily by gently brushing with a Weber stainless-steel grill brush.
Controls for each burner give you the ability to grill by the direct or indirect method. Even more, the burners are spaced to provide heat across the entire cooking grate, and the burner valves have infinite control settings, so you can fine-tune the heat levels.
Flavorizer Bars
The innovative Flavorizer bar system, originally created by Weber, is designed perfectly to perform a variety of functions on the Spirit , Summit, and Summit gas grills. Angled just right, the Flavorizer bars catch drippings that smoke and sizzle, adding flavor to your food. Any drippings not vaporized by the Flavorizer bars follow the slope of their unique angle and are funneled away from the burner tubes, down into the grease management system. Not only does this help prevent flare-ups inside your grill, but it also protects the burner tubes from becoming clogged.
Made of either porcelain enamel or stainless steel, Flavorizer bars are durable, long lasting, and easy to care for. Periodically brushing them clean with a Weber stainless-steel grill brush will help keep Flavorizer bars performing at their best.
Grease Management
When juices drip off the meat, they funnel down to the Flavorizer bars, and then what doesn't vaporize into wonderful smoke goes down into the grease management system. The grease management system consists of an angled grease tray and catch pan. The grease tray rests beneath the cookbox a safe distance from the burner tubes to prevent the grease from catching fire. Grease is channeled down the grease tray and into the catch pan. Both the grease tray and catch pan are easy to clean. The tray easily slides out of the cabinet for cleaning, and when the catch pan starts to fill, simply remove the disposable drip pan, toss it in the trash, and replace it with an empty pan.
Fuel Gauge
A fuel gauge lets you know exactly where you stand on fuel at all times.
Sear Station Burner & Side Burner (Select Models)
Maximize the heat without minimizing grilling space. This high-powered sear burner is designed to step up the heat on demand for searing. Even more, a flush-mounted side burner lets you multi-task while grilling.
Summit S-670 Gas Grill
As part of the Summit S series, the S-670 gas grill has a front-mounted lighted control panel with six stainless-steel burners and a Snap-Jet individual burner ignition system. The unit provides stainless-steel cooking grates, stainless-steel Flavorizer bars, a 60,800 BTU-per-hour input, and 769 square inches of total cooking space, which consists of 624 square inches of primary cooking space and a 145-square-inch warming rack. For added versatility, the grill supplies a 12,000-BTU side burner, a 10,600-BTU Sear Station burner, a 6,800 smoker burner, and a 10,600 rear-mounted infrared rotisserie burner for the unit's Tuck-Away rotisserie system, which comes with a flip-up motor and separate spit and fork storage.
Other highlights include an enclosed cart, a stainless-steel shroud with a built-in thermometer, two stainless-steel work areas, two Grill Out lights, six tool hooks, two heavy-duty front-locking casters, and two heavy-duty back swivel casters. Designed for use with natural gas or a 20-pound LP tank (sold separately), the gas grill measures 30 inches long by 74 inches wide by 57 inches high and carries a five-year limited warranty. A 10-foot flexible hose for natural-gas installation comes included.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 23, 2011Style: Liquid PropaneVerified PurchaseFirst of all, I'd like to start by saying that this grill was nearly $500 cheaper on Amazon than at our local Great Indoors. Plus, shipping was free and arrived in 3 days! Are you kidding me?! It did come on a palette and was quite heavy to move by myself (wife was preggo at the time and I couldn't wait any longer for my buddies to help). I am an experienced backyard warrior and literally ran my old grill into the ground until the burners became brittle and fell apart. I knew that my next grill purchase would be a substantial investment, but I also knew I would use the features. I needed a MANLY grill (cue howling at the moon, grunting)!!
On to the grill review.
great features: it's HUGE, heats evenly, has a rotisserie that actually works quite well, QUALITY construction, easy to clean stainleses grates, and did I mention it's huge. If you are looking for the big daddy of all grills this is it. 6 burners of Weber awesomeness. the wheels roll very easily. I cannot comment highly enough on the effective cooking of this grill. The searing station in the middle is SWEET and works well for steaks. I can't believe how much better my steaks taste when I sear them first.
things i didn't care for / don't need: i really see no use for the side burner in my own grilling life. never used it on our old grill, and probably will never use this one. nbd though as the side burner is standard procedure with grills of this caliber. also, the grill "lights" are silly and gimmicky. i didn't even put them on the handle. that's about it. everything else this grill is very useful, including the propane gauge.
things i don't like: nothing noteworthy here. anyone who comments on the footprint of this grill as a negative feature probably bought the wrong grill. on a small note, i'm not a fan of the way they designed the warming rack. several times i've bumped it with a grill utensil and it fell off onto my food that was cooking. oops. i think it would have been better to design it in such a way that makes it snap into place instead of just resting on the mounts.
other people have noted that this grill has a "disgusting design flaw" something to do with when it gets rained on and the grease catcher gets water in it. i haven't owned the grill that long yet, but it's been sitting out in heavy rain and i don't have a problem. one reviewer in another amazon review for this grill noted that he created a piece of flashing to fix it and keep water out. another contacted tech support and they helped him solve the issue. either way, this is NOT a reason to avoid this grill imo. it's just too dang good at what it does to avoid it for this reason alone. i am SO happy i bought this one.
last idea: buy the pizza stone and make yourself some great pizza!! we have been cooking the best pizza of our lives with this grill using the weber clay stone.
Overall, this grill is the epitomy of manliness. If you buy this grill, your manhood will instantly double in size and you will sprout a lumberjack beard and chest hair the first time you turn it on. Make the all the women near you have taken their birth control or they may just conceive purely as a result of being in your presence when you use this grill. BOOYAH!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 21, 2020Style: Liquid PropaneVerified PurchaseI really love this grill, I waited a month to write this to get some ample usage out of it. I use this grill quite a bit, 4-5 times a week at least. I wanted a grill that would do everything and this one delivers, it smokes, rotisserie’s, and char grills as well as searing. All aspects work well and I’ve done everything with it. The smoker is pretty good, I’ve done london broils and ribs with it so far and I’m very pleased with the results. I did not want a pellet smoker as my only grill because I love a good char grilled steak and don’t always want the smoke, I will eventually buy a stand alone smoker but the summit smoker works well. The rotisserie is flat out amazing, the rear sear burner works like a charm, I’ve so far only done chickens and they were just delicious and juicy, you can’t get any better than that, can’t wait to do a bone in prime rib. The grilling part is amazing as well, the sear burner works perfectly. Once the grill grates are seasoned you’ll get excellent grill marks. So far everything cooks pretty evenly, I haven’t had any hot spot issues at all. The quality of this grill is outstanding, its built like a tank, all aspects of this grill are top notch. It’s expensive for sure but it is worth the money, I’m glad I saved up and got this one. I almost bought the 470 and am glad I waited to get the 670, I like the extra space it has, I highly recommend it over the 470, if you are going to spend this much money you may as well save up some more and get the bigger one. I was hesitant to make a purchase like this through amazon but I have to say they were terrific, I had an issue with going over my daily debit card limit and had to reach out to customer service, they were very helpful and it was a painless experience. The grill was shipped super fast and arrived in excellent condition so amazon did their job extremely well. Assembly of this grill was very easy, there is not that much to assemble. I’m very mechanical so I don’t struggle with most things but even if your not the mechanical type this grill will be very easy to put together, the instructions are perfect. Well, I tried to cover everything, if your looking at buying one of these grills just do it, the whole family loves the weber. One more thing, I gave it a “deep clean” this morning, it really wasn’t that dirty, I just wanted to see how hard it would be and it was easy.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2016Style: Natural GasVerified PurchaseI had been wanting one of these grills for years, so when my old Genesis Silver finally bit the dust, I was secretly happy. This grill is great and is everything I hoped it would be. It has a massive grilling surface that heats evenly. The sear burner works great and has helped me grill some mean steaks. It is easy to start all the burners and the lighted knobs and grill lights on the handle are a real plus. I've only used the rotisserie once to cook a pork loin, and the pork loin came out great. It is very nice having the rotisserie motor fold down into the side table. There is a lot of storage underneath the grill, especially since mine is natural gas, so no propane bottle. My wife has used the side burner a few times to cook things and said she likes it better than the one on the old Genesis Silver.
However, every grill has both positives and negatives, so I will list a few things that could be better. I wish the infrared burner for the rotisserie was longer. It was long enough for the whole pork loin, but I'm not sure how well it would work for multiple roasts or chickens. It also does take a while to light all six burners and turn them off, but I guess that is what you get with a large grill. I think the smoker box is OK and have used it once, but don't expect it to give more than a little smoke taste to what you are cooking or to smoke that long. If I really want to smoke meat, I have a separate smoker for that.
When this arrived, I felt like a little kid at Christmas time and I keep getting that same feeling every time I use this grill.

Product Description
