Q: Does it have a headlight

A: We have oriental carpets throughout our home. If I even drop something on the carpet, most of the time I need to use a flashlight to find it! Even in daylight with a room light on a headlight on the vacuum is an added benefit that eliminates vacuuming something little that accidentally fell. Just my reason for appreciating a headlight.

submitted bySandy - 4 years agoA: I like the headlight because it helps me see the difference in the before and after vacuuming. We have pets and I know their hair is around, but it can sometimes blend in with the carpet. The headlight is bright and as I am approaching an unvacuumed part of the carpet I can really see all of the hair that is there, and it makes it even more satisfying to see it clean as I pull the vacuum back. It is also very helpful when vacuuming under a table or couch etc. :)

I really like the capability to dismantle easily to use as a handheld vac. for corners, high places and celling fans. The only negative thing is it is a little heavy but well worth investment.

I regrettably went to Bissell after having a Shark for years. This vacuum is terrible. It does not pick up the most obvious messes and I have to run over the floor three or fours times to get it where it looks clean. I truly doubt it is picking up more than what is on the very surface of the carpet. The hose electrically shocks me profusely while I'm using it, so I have to be careful not to let the hose hit my leg while I use it. The bristles on the end of the wand are annoying and pointless. I miss my pointy wand and separate brush attachment. I have to take the entire canister apart to clean it out, you can't just stand over a bin and dump everything out, you have to clean everything out with your hand and pull out the insert and shake that out as well. The roller is not "self-cleaning". I have to unclog the roller every couple of weeks. I will not be buying Bissell again, huge disappointment!

I really like the Lift-Off option, too, which makes it so much easier to vacuum furniture of stairs. For the money, it's been a fantastic purchases. Hundreds of dollars less than other options.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the vac almost 3 weeks. It was to replace a vac that burnt out the beater bar motor. I have 3 dogs & 2 that shred so I mostly use it on a couple of area rugs most every day. Went back to a corded , bagged vac for a few weeks. This vac picked up dog hair a lot better & did not get dog hair wrapped around the beater bar. I tried the vac only on the solid floors & it seemed to pick up well.I did seem to find more dirt than before. I am used to using the air compressor to clean out the filter & that was easy. Have not tried washing it out yet. The small head with beater bar worked very well. The lights worked; but showed more in the corners than I wanted to see. I'm very happy so far.

I thought it did a great job vacuuming, but the attachment quit spinning after first use, I could deal with that. Now, the on/off switch is broken after 1 1/2yrs.

This vacuum is great. It was easy to put together out of the box. It tested wonderfully from the beginning. The suction was excellent and it gathered in the bagless chamber with ease.

The vacuum picked up lots of pet hair and it was easy to dump the canister. However, great the suction though, it really needs a longer cord. I had to get out an extension cord to get it throughout the house.

I bought this in December after using the Shark vacuum forever. I have 2 australian shepherds so I am no stranger to shedding. The hair gets lodged inside of the brush roll and actually starts to burn so you have to take it apart after every use to make sure its clean. Also, the pet hair attachment stopped working after 2 uses. I took the entire thing apart and it is still not working at all. Very unhappy with my purchase.
Returned in a week.

I have another Bissell vacuum and bought this for my cleaning business thinking it would work similarly. This is over if the worst vacuums for hardwood floors I have ever used. Wouldn't even pick up a small amount of dust and cat litter.

Less than a year and a half it just stopped. I cleaned all filters and moving parts and it just won’t turn on. It was clunky and didn’t work that well when it did work. I did like the light on it to help see what needed to be vacuumed and I liked the detachable hose feature.

I got this vacuum because I have multiple pets with fur. I have detested this product since the first use. Cord is too short Does not pick up fur or cat litter without having to go over an area several times The canister on front blocks the vacuum from being able to get a 3 iinch furniture edge. I absolutely am so frustrated with this product. Is this the standard Bissell is producing now? This had to be designed by someone with no kids nor animals in the household. Or perhaps they have never actually cleaned a house before. When I clean, I don't want to fight with a product to get it to do what its sole purpose is. I have wasted so much time with this inferior vacuum. I will NOT ourchase another Bissell product in the future . So disappointed in Bissell.

This vacuum is terrible. The button to control the rug height keeps sliding to high pile which makes the suction even worse so you constantly have to keep sliding back. It barely sucks up hair let alone cat litter. The only good thing is they donate to animal shelters and it's lightweight.
