    These lights are extremely fun to use. VERY easy to install. The app is good but could be better; I'm sure some updates are in the works. I LOVE how the lights map altogether. The house looked great. (I needed to buy one more set). I'm looking forward to purchasing others and seeing how they work together.

      I absolutely love these lights and Twinkly's functionality. I don’t even mind the price point. However, for what we pay..the app is atrocious. It’s so bad. That development team needs to be replaced and the app overhauled with customer feedback taken into consideration.

      Love the colors and different settings and themes it has. I can group it with the other products to have it all sync together and can put a timer so it's not always on. Was a little bit annoying to untangle at first(there's probably a much easier way that I'm not aware of haha). Gotten a lot of compliments.       I shelled out the money (too much) for two packs of the white + multicolor icicle lights for my living room. In theory, they're everything I wanted, and I was super excited to hang them up at the top of my walls. Installation was super easy, as was setting up the app, connecting to the lights, and mapping each strand. The app has many pre-existing patterns to choose from, and the timer and dimmer features are great. I haven't played much with the creation of my own patterns, but I appreciate the capability to. There's also a long portion of plain cord between the outlet and the first light so extension cords were unnecessary in my situation. Unfortunately, separate strands cannot be physically linked (can be synced together with app), but this wasn't necessary for me.

      The problem arises when immediately out of the package, I'm having multiple issues with each of the strands. On one, one bulb flickered a bunch and then went out completely, and at least three individual lights were flickering as though they are going to go out soon. Since hanging them four days ago, an additional four lights are now flickering for a total of seven. This is only on one strand. The other strand currently has four lights that are also flickering. I've tried remapping to no avail, and if I'm using a setting that uses color instead of white, they flicker in random colors outside of the program scheme.

      I expected these lights to last for years, especially since I'm planning to use them indoors only, however as far as I know, these flickering lights could burn out tomorrow like the first one. It was hard to justify these for the price (~$150 each strand) without problems. With the problems I'm currently having, I absolutely cannot justify them at all. Save your money and buy some lights where you can replace individual bulbs as they burn out. If you really want color, maybe a set that comes with a remote would satisfy. Just steer clear of these lights. I'm very disappointed and plan to return them.

      I bought these lights to replace my current icicles on the house for Christmas. I wanted to have some flexibility with colors and such. And, I wanted to make sure the LEDs could do warm white as well. Hence, I bought the Special Edition set. The ones I had before were just the standard warm white ones for box store.

      The kit is 190 LEDs and strand is about 16ft long (of lighted length). Of course, my house needed 42ft to cover my front. So, I had to buy 3. Which for $100 for each set is borderline overpriced.

      The lights were easy to setup. I used a iPhone (iOS). I connected them to my wifi and a timer that I have for my lights outside. Yes, the app does have it;'s own timer for turning on and off the lights. But, since i have my power outlets for my Christmas lights all tied together, I didn't use the apps built in timer. Even though the power was turned off every night on my timer, these lights remember the last setting. And work light the night before. Which is great. Keep in mind, that you can't daisy chain the power for these. You need to connect each to power source directly.

      The app starts off by guiding you to use the mapping feature for the lights. Basically, you can point your phone to lights and it records position of lights by going through a series of on/off attempts for the LEDs. For my icicles, I didn't do the mapping part as I just group them to together in the app and controlled them as one giant set. There are couple of different ways it allows you to group the lights.

      You can select from a bunch of different preprogramed light patterns. You can also create your own custom ones. But, what i can couldn't do was use a playlist (where it cycles through different light patterns) when grouped. That was a real bummer. I wanted to be able to setup 3 or 4 different pattern sets and let them cycle through. I was forced to manually change them. So, i changed it each night via the app. I assume it was just a bug in the app since that is major feature miss if not. (by the way, when not grouped, you can do this). Also, you can operate the lights without the app as well. The controller has a button on them and you can simply use the button to cycle through preprogrammed light patterns. This is nice if want to use them as traditional lights and not worried about the app.

      Issues:

      1. Wifi - worked pretty well. i did have one issue where when I added my 3rd set, it messed up and just wouldn't connect the lights. And, disrupeted the 1 and 2nd sets i had up already. Not sure if it was the app or the lights controllers interfering with each other. I ended up removing the all 3 icicles sets and starting fresh again. Then they all worked.

      2. Firmware - Yes, the controllers have firmware. It fought me a few times trying to update them. But, I would power cycle them and try again (after failing...not during)

      3. App - Not being able to use Playlist in group mode was annoying to me. The app was fairly stable. Sometimes apply the setting to light for patterns would give an error. But, that was like 1 out of 20 times. So, not horrible.

      Overall, I like the lights. Hopefully the playlist item I mentioned above is a bug. I'll contact them to see. Also, i think the prices for the lights have since gone up. Again, I think $100 for only 16ft of LED lights is pricey. So, if they are now selling for more, then are simply overpriced.

      I don't have a picture to add at the moment but I'll add one if I remember to later. They look sooooo good!! I know they're pricey but daaaamn...they're worth it honestly! Set up was easy and they automatically went into this rainbow fade coloring thing that's just sooo pretty! I got them for Christmas but I liked the rainbow so much I literally just left them like that and they're still up on a timer every night lol I do wish they were longer...especially for the price but the quality is incomparable honestly. I went through so many different lights and a bunch of research to find the best and these are definitely it =)

      I'm using these twinkly lights for second season and they started right up with no issue. The app connects/controls the lights every time and I've had no issue with them functioning properly. I will say, they did not automatically re-pair after sitting in a storage been for 11 months.

      Luci tra le piu' care del mercato ( in proporzione) che sarebbero veramente top ma purtroppo la connessione al wi-fi risulta essere a singhiozzo, pregiudicandone l'utilizzo con la app. Questo particolare rende la fruibilità non stabile e quindi alla fine non valgono il prezzo richiesto. Per non parlare del venditore in questione, che per non accettare il reso, pone supercazzole ( fare screen shot al problema, come se si potesse fare una foto ad una luce che ora va' e ora non va'..) e paletti ridicoli. per fortuna c'è Amazon che tutela...il buon senso!
