While the Royal Sonesta is directly on Bourbon St, it feels like a world away once you walk in the doors. The reception area is spacious and well appointed, staff friendly and helpful, and the rooms comfortable and clean. My room was overlooking a side street and was one room away from bourbon st and while I did hear some noise at night it was not disruptive to sleep at all! The large rooftop patio and pool was an oasis on the hot afternoons. Highly recommend.

Took them almost 40 minutes to bring toilet paper to the room when room ran out of toilet paper, and air conditioning went out when i got to my room after a night on bourbon street. I informed person at front desk, they said sorry, i was waiting for them to at least adjust the price on my room for the inconvenience but nothing. Wont stay there again.
