Thoroughly enjoyed everything about Hotel 1898! We were there during the power outage and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Spent time in the spa (30 minutes per day per guest) and enjoyed the experience. Breakfast was amazing, rooms were very comfortable, and staff were always very pleasant. Would definitely stay again!

I have no complaints about this place. We were there during the nationwide power outage on April 28, 2025, and it was the only place on the street with both electricity and internet. It says a lot how good it is.

Hotel 1898 was a lovely stay. The location is convenient and the hotel was clean and comfortable. Despite the busy street below, it was quiet and the multiple layer curtains kept out all the light for a comfortable night rest. The view from the rooftop was incredible. The spa was also fantastic! I highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful interiors! Formerly a tobacco factory I believe. Very warm and cozy. Staff at breakfast were friendly and helpful. Stayed during the big power outage but the hotel was able to still have lights and provide a buffer dinner. Excellent service. Comfortable beds and very clean. Would only suggest a facecloth in the bathroom and a coffeemaker as well as a bottle of water for each guest.

A charming and lovely hotel with lots of amenities- we really enjoyed the pool, sauna and steam room and it’s extra cool because it is underground in an old coal room. Breakfast Buffet was yummy, glad we only did it once though- any more would have been way too much. They have nice touches like live music thurs-sat and the rooftop area. Would definitely recommend!
