I loved this hotel! My husband and I did an east coast trip by train and we got there at night. We were able to walk from the station to the hotel no problem. The hotel itself is so beautiful. The decor really was incredible down to every detail. The staff was so kind and helpful as well. They also have bars in the lobby area. We went to Blooms on Tuesday night for the jazz band which was so great. I had espresso martinis and they were delicious. I loved everything about our stay! I’m a big fan of boutique hotels and Hotel Ulysses just went to the top of my list.

I liked that the hotel has a real point of view and vibe. It's very unique and much less cookie-cutter than some. The bath products were very strong smelling and I would have liked a milder alternative.

The ambience is deliberately noir, so much so that we had difficulty at first, in the dark, trying to get into our room. This atmosphere may be more to the taste of others than to ourselves. However, the situation of the hotel is ideal for access to amenities of Mount Vernon, and we had a good breakfast that was well served. Easy parking on the street from 6:00 p.m. Saturday through Sunday.

Front desk gave my key to a stranger and she walked in on me in the bathroom. Management decided free drinks would cover it. Found a monogram wash cloth in my room. Romm cleaned? Idk. Unfortunately, stay was not nice. Go to the Ash bar skip the stay I stay. Rooms are 8x10 and staffing is a joke. Manager wig crooked. All the things. Ha! Card blocked your charge.

Room not as advertised on website. AC was not working. Asked the staff twice to take a look and they did not. Room was 80 degrees all night. Asked for additional pillows and they said they’d bring them but never did.
