Co. Kerry, Ireland
Sheen Falls Lodge
A breath of fresh Eire
What it is
A hotel that feels like a dream Emerald Isle estate.
What it isn't
Modernist. If you're not a fan of concrete and glass, Ireland probably isn’t your best destination anyway.
What we think
This is far from a stodgy countryside B&B with dishwater tea. The 85 rooms here are luxuriously appointed, with Danish linens, open fireplaces and views over Sheen Falls or Kenmare Bay, though activities on the 300-acre estate (falconry, trout fishing, kayaking and clay pigeon shooting) mean you’re almost never there. If you’re sore post-horseback ride, there’s nothing more soothing than the spa’s basalt lava stone massage and a spell under the warm indoor waterfalls.
You're here because
