The application kit is helpful. Installed this on a brand new phone right out of the box with no dust and perfect alignment.

Cons:
Any solid color will look incredibly pixelated. On my first start with this applied I knew I made a mistake. I could literally see every pixel while the screen was all white. I hoped while using the phone normally it wouldn't be as noticeable, but this is absolutely the worst most headache inducing thing I've ever looked at. As soon as I get a new screen protector I'm taking this one off. They really should mention it will make your iPhone look like absolute garbage.

I recently splurged on the ZAGG Glass Elite Privacy 360 Screen Protector for my iPhone 16 Pro Max, shelling out $55, and boy was that a mistake. I can’t recommend this product to anyone. It’s a classic case of style over substance, failing to live up to its grand promises. ZAGG touts this protector as boasting “ultra-strong aluminosilicate glass with HD clarity,” but the reality is shockingly different. The most glaring issue? The moiré effect. Instead of achieving stunning clarity, this protector turns my beautiful display into a grainy mess that distorts text and images. I found myself cranking the brightness to the max just to combat the blurriness, but it only made reading and watching videos a frustrating chore. It’s a devastating blow to the stunning quality of the iPhone 16 Pro Max screen. Then there’s the halo effect. ZAGG claims “maximum coverage,” yet the edges of the screen remain exposed, creating an unsightly ring of light that dances around the borders. It’s a glaring reminder of the protector’s incomplete design, making my phone appear cheap and haphazard. Sure, it doesn’t affect the device’s protection, but it’s an irritating distraction that simply shouldn’t be present in a premium product. To top it all off, this protector cracked within just a few days of normal use, which raises eyebrows given ZAGG’s bold claim that it’s “5X stronger than traditional glass.” I didn’t mishandle or drop my phone; I treated it with care, making the sudden crack even more disappointing. By then, I was already itching to find a replacement due to the lack of clarity and frustrating design flaws, so the crack was just the excuse I needed. On a positive note, the privacy feature genuinely works wonders, effectively blocking visibility from various angles. But that single redeeming quality pales compared to the significant drawbacks of poor screen clarity, subpar coverage, and questionable durability. With a price tag of $55, this screen protector is a monumental letdown. The moiré effect renders it nearly unusable, the halo effect detracts from its appearance, and the cracking raises serious doubts about its sturdiness. ZAGG’s marketing is a classic case of overpromising and underdelivering—I highly recommend searching for a better alternative!

This is product is a BIG disappointment. The screen is hardly usable after installation because of the very visible grid lines resulting in eye strain and headaches. Although the level of privacy it offers is outstanding, screen quality and clarity suffered significantly. Hope ZAGG can address this and improve the product next time. No excuse for a very expensive product. Not worth it at all. Avoid at all cost.
