Editorial Reviews

From Library Journal

Another title just dropped into December: a tell-all from the Duchess of York.

Review

Like Sam Walton and Donald Trump before her, Ms. Ferguson has written a seminal primer on the psyche of the entrepreneur, bristling with homespun wisdom sure to be passed down from generation.... [A]nyone wishing to emulate Ms. Ferguson should bear these words in mind: "When you have touched the flames of hell, a branding iron is only a mild inconvenience." -- The New York Times Book Review, Joe Queenan

I didn't want to reach the end of the book.sarah definitely is a writer.her life experience is sad and her neglect as a child and young teen also let her down.her father doesn't have parental intelligence.she could have spared so much hurt if he sent her to finishing school.her mother neglect just as bad.she is a survival.despite the pain she suffered by her unethical behavior.she went from a mess to a true lady we all see today.very much recommend this book.the book is also in large print not SMALL print.i intent to buy more of Sarah books.a good read.a very good person that survive so much neglect and to learn abt herself that she had to face herself.some how she dug herself out of the debt she found herself in.she learn to find the strength to bring her as she is today.loving, forgiving, respectful, think before she speaks and act.she had so many charities and orphanage how she manage them all is a gift she found within herself.im sure she felt like an orphan she sure did live like one up to her teen

I really enjoyed getting to know Sarah. Fascinating read. Sarah is by no means a dull girl. I had just read Harry's new book so it was very interesting to hear about the Firm and about all the BS they have to put up with as royals. It certainly makes Royaldumn seem less attractive .Sarah's quite talented and certainly strong-willed when she sets her mind to it. The only part that I couldn't relate to really as a Christian, was how she didn't rely more on her faith and her children through the storms. I think she was way to hard on herself, and that part was hard to read over and over. Besides that she's a breath of fresh air quite frankly and I would love to meet her. This is my second read on royalty. My first was Harry's book and I find them both fascinating and again I would have no desire to be a part of the royal family. I think Sarah has done a great job pulling herself together under the circumstances. I'd like to see any one of us do better. And I think it's time for the Firm to be exposed and held accountable. I think Sarah is a beautiful soul and I believe every part of her soul is sincere. Though it was heartbreaking to hear about those children that she met and helped. It was wonderful to hear about her tireless work with charities. And based on what I've read I say bravo to Harry and Megan for getting the hell out of there! Sarah, I haven't read your children's books or any other books, but I may very well. You're a wonderful writer. Best of luck to you if you read any of these reviews and blessings!

    I liked the fact that
Fergie took responsibility for her actions, but she never seemed to learn from them. Although i'm sure the royal family is not easy to be a part of, as they think they can do no wrong. Even when the do, oh well111111

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't judge Sarah Ferguson by the headline covers.

Love this book. Her peronality comes through and love the honesty of coming into such a role, misconceptions that the media moulds to fashion the public minds to sell and being 'adored' by the public. Great and easy read. I even chuckled to myself on public transport a few times.
