Customers are saying
Customers value the MacBook Air 15" laptop's long battery life, large screen size, and impressive performance. They also appreciate its lightweight design and ease of use, along with the ample RAM. While some users noted that the device attracts fingerprints and has a limited number of USB-C ports, the positive feedback on other features outweighs these minor drawbacks.

Perfect for remote work but upgrade to 16mb!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all let me say I love this computer. I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed working on a computer quite as much as I do this one even though I was a windows user for all my life up until last year when I bought my first refurbished 2015, MacBook Pro, I still am learning to navigate a MacBook but I don’t believe I’ll ever go back to Windows. This computer is very slim compared to my old 2015 MacBook Pro. The slimness doesn’t take away from the beauty and sleepiness of this machine. The lightweight makes it a lot easier on my back when I am on the go however I do write realize the sleekness comes at a cost because you only have two USB-C ports, so a USB multi adapter or just a USB adapter whichever one you need is a must for your flash drive for your HDMI connection to your second screen or if you have microSD cards from a camera. The display is phenomenal. Because I was used to a 15 inch screed with my old MacBook Pro. I chose to go with a 15 inch screen with this new MacBook Air purchase and I’m glad that I did. While the 13 inch looked very nice in the store with as much work as I do on the computer 8 to 10 hours a day, I think the 15 inch was the better choice, the quality is exceptional the leap off the screen. My job requires me to do a lot of multitasking and several hours a day of on camera video calls so I did upgrade from the standard 8 MB memory to 16 MB. I feel that this in combination with the new M2 processor makes this device a joy to work with for remote workers. I can have multiple multiple screens open while using the on camera video and there is no lag time. There’s no pixelation at all in any of my video calls. My images are so crystal clear. Many of my coworkers think I have used the video editing feature, but it’s just the raw camera and the processor and memory. I feel that make the images look so good. On days where I don’t have a lot of on camera video calls I keep saying on camera because when you have your camera on, it does pull more from your battery and your processor and memory so that’s why I make the distinction. But when I don’t have a lot of camera video calls, the battery, life is amazing. The computer comes with a braided power cord which I totally prefer over just the plastic key cords and the power adapter block. Whatever you wanna call it has an extra USB-C port so I can charge my headphones or any other device. My only con with this device does not come from the device itself. It’s for Apple. I do feel that at this price point this device should come with a hard case to cover the actual device, which I did purchase separately and an additional power cord as a back up maybe not the block but it definitely is the cord. I’d like to add an additional review for the process with Best Buy and purchasing this laptop I did a lot of research prior to switching from a 2015 MacBook Pro to this 2023 MacBook Air and even though I was pretty much set on what I would purchase, I wanted to get one more opinion and the Best Buy associate was super helpful and patient with all my questions. Plus as a single mom purchasing this outright was not an option, so Best Buy had great options for financing that included being able to upgrade in 36 months which is another plus.

Really enjoying this Mac! 16gb is the one to get.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this MacBook. Great battery life, quick, great screen, and handles everything I need it to smoothly. The extra screen real estate on the 15-inch version really helps with the types of apps I use and with multitasking. I tried the smaller MacBook Air with the 13-inch screen and I always felt a little restrained. Also, I initially had the 8gb version, and while was very impressed with how much that system could handle, I ultimately spec'd it up to this 16gb model and I am so glad I did. The extra ram really makes the computer feel like it can do so much more. I'm enjoying this purchase!

10/10
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.very easy to use, i love it. 16gb of ram is the way to go, so much space! a bit easy to see fingerprints but you can always get a different color or case, i prefer midnight tho :). the screen is massive and font/mouse size is customizable. it's got a bit of heft to it but it is a big macbook so it makes sense. i've had it for a day and the battery has lasted me (from 86% charge at purchase) about 12-13 hours and its on 20% now. overall amazing purchase, very happy with it <3

Beautiful and fast, with minor flaws.
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the M2 MacBook Air during the Black Friday sales to replace an ageing The MacBook, and was the best purchase I’d made last year. It was definitely an upgrade; bigger more brilliant screen, longer battery life, and faster. It is so beautiful that sometimes I catch myself admiring it, despite it being a few months since I bought it. But it does have some flaws - 1. The MacBook sweats when I use it on my lap on the bed (as I usually do), and 2. It has a permanent blot on the trackpad, likely due to the cooling mechanism that had led to 1. It is still a great device that fulfils my basic every needs. Would not have bought anything else despite the minor flaws.

My new favorite Mac
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am absolutely in love with my new MacBook Air 15”. My last computer died a few weeks ago and I was in need of a new computer. My family has a lot of Apple equipment and I thought it would be nice to move into Mac for my office work. I am really enjoying reorganizing my office and starting over with the office set up. I’m thrilled and my laptop is beautiful with my Ander leather case. The MacBook is hands down the way to go for office and travel. Light, bright and with plenty of oomph for all of my computer needs.

Light as Air
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ll admit, I was highly motivated to purchase this laptop because of the beautiful blue-black exterior. It is the same dimensions as my 2016 MacBook Pro, but it is much thinner and lighter to carry than my Pro. The primary difference I notice is the lack of the Touch Bar, which I rarely use anyway. The keyboard is responsive, and searching the internet is fast! The battery life is exceptional, I can type all day without worrying that my battery will die. Also, I sometimes just sit and watch the screensaver because the resolution is stunning. I can’t comment on its practicality for gaming, but I would assume a Pro would be the way to go. I thought I would use this as a backup to my Pro, but the Air is now the only laptop I use. Love it!

superfast, always reliable, $300 for old MBP!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.4th mac in 13 years as upgrade for my 2017 MBP. got $300 gift card for old MBP which made easy to upgrade. Best laptops ever in general. This Macbook Air, superfast, responsive, very long battery life. not as thin as old macbook air but not as heavy as the new macbook pros. Wanted 15 inch screen and debated between macair and MBP but MBP too heavy and cost prohibitive!

Q: QuestionCan I and if yes where can I plug in a external portable drive ? I have a few from a few years ago And are there any limitations in the ability for this Mac book air computer to read any and all external drives which plug in through a standard usb cable?
Asked by DarrellR.
- A:Answer You should be able to plug in any external portable drives, just keep in mind that two things: 1. You will need to buy a USB-A to USB-C adapter because the new MacBooks only have 2 USB-C ports. 2. If you plug in a hard drive with either Windows formatting or Apple formatting that is NOT the newer APFS format then you will have to erase any data on them and reformat them.
