When I first received this barbell, the metal on the end had a large imperfection on it, which made it very difficult to screw on the locking collar that holds the weights from moving. Luckily, I had a metal file. After spending a few minutes filing that blemish in the metal down, I can now screw on the locking collars pretty easily. I’ve used the barbell for about a week now, and am satisfied with it for the price.

    I needed a bar I could use in my small workout room. A Six ft bar would have been optimum but still a little too long for my space. I have a portable squat rack so it can be adjusted to accommodate the bar and my hand spacing, as long as I am careful. But if you have a fixed squat rack, then this bar won't work with it. The hand spacing on the inside of the collars is about 36". So if you're going to do anything that requires a rack, keep this in mind. I only use this bar with weights under 100 lbs so I can't comment about anything over that and the use of this bar. For me, it suits my needs fine. The finish is excellent. It's a quality bar for the price. The box was damaged but everything was still intact inside.
