[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a few weeks ago and from first use I don't miss my Amp and separate speakers.. this makes movies and games way better. Glad I made the purchase! bass is not overpowering, but could be a bit louder.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my review for the Samsung HW-Q950A  11.1.4ch Dolby Atmos DTS:X Soundbar which I received for a discounted price for my honest review. So first things first, when I received the box I was quite surprised at how large and heavy the box was, but none of the less, excited! Unboxing was very simple and didn't take me no time to rip into the goodies! The box included the very large sound bar, the subwoofer, two small speakers, the remote and some mounting hardware. 
I was able to connect everything without the use of the the instruction manual. I only broke out the manual when try to pair the subwoofer and small speakers to the sound bar which was quite confusing at first, but then I figured it out. I used the HDMI cable to connect the sound bar to my Tv (there is no optic cable included). My first choice to test out the sound was Spotify. As soon as the song started playing I was BLOWN AWAY by the amount of bass that was coming out of the subwoofer. It was amazing. There are several options as far as sound goes to choose from to fit exactly what you're looking for, I chose the option with more bass. Later on, we decided to watch a movie and it truly was a movie theater experience. The only issues I had was at one point the speakers made a loud pop noise and the sound was behind with my tv (the people were talking and the sound didn't match up). All I did was reset the sound bar and it was fixed. Hopefully I don't have any other issues with that. In conclusion, this is honestly one of the best sound bars I have ever owned. The sound is immaculate. I was not able to test out the Q-symphony as I do not own a Samsung TV, but now we are planning to upgrade to one so we can have the full experience! The only things I would change about this set up is I wish the bass was louder when the sound volume is lower. It seems like you have to turn the sound bar up kind of loud to have more bass. I also wish the cables for the smaller speakers were longer as we want to mount them in the corners of the walls and the cables aren't long enough to reach our outlets. I also wish the small screen on the sound bar was in a different place, as it's kind of hard to view where it's at. Other than that, this sound bar is amazing and I would definitely recommend this to anyone in the market for a great system— just be ready to spend some money!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a high-end soundbar to replace floor standing speakers and got the flagship 11.1.4-channel Dolby Atmos and DTS:X Samsung HW-Q950A soundbar. It came with a Soundbar, a Wireless Subwoofer, and a pair of Up-firing wireless rear speakers. This soundbar has a lot of built-in features like the Auto EQ feature, and AirPlay 2,  eARC, Samsung's Q Symphony support, and Tap Sound features, built-in Amazon Alexa. Build quality is excellent with contemporary look wrap-around fabric covering. 

It has two HDMI inputs and an HDMI output which support 4K/60p, High Dynamic Range (HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision), HDCP 2.2, and Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC), HDMI output includes eARC and optical digital input. It supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and AirPlay 2, allowing to stream music from the home network. Bluetooth pairing can be done with remote, AirPlay via your Apple device, and Wi-Fi using the SmartThings app.

There are basic controls centrally located on the top rear of the soundbar. I have no idea why Samsung put the display on the soundbar. It is impossible to see the sound settings, HDMI inputs while watching TV and it is really a bad design on display position. These controls are for multi-function (on/off and source select), volume up/down, and mic on/off.  The provided remote is has central navigation and play/pause buttons, along with a sound control button for setting treble, bass, and audio sync. There's also a source select button, a Bluetooth pairing button, the sound mode (Standard, Surround, Game Pro, and Adaptive Sound), volume up and down, mute, and control for setting the subwoofer level.

Setup is relatively easy and connected the soundbar, woofer, and rear speakers to QLED Samsung TV with eARC / ARC .  I  had the Samsung SmartThings app and added the soundbar. With app, it is easy to switch HDMI inputs, adjust volume, Sound mode, Equalizer, adjust woofer settings, Auto EQ, and Advanced Sound Settings to do Voice / Base enhancements, Night mode. 

It decodes Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, and delivers these object-based audio formats using an immersive 11.1.4-channel speakers layout. It impresses with an incredibly immersive soundstage. We have watched several movies and shows from Netflix with Dolby Atmos. I was blown away by the sound and felt like sitting in a theater. Even in a low sound setting, the dialogues were very clear. Listing music on this soundbar is bliss. This is the best soundbar on the market and delivers an immersive theater experience.
