I recommend a visit to the clear-blue-water beaches on the West side of the island (not the pier side which is quite industrial and dirty). It is a popular destination among local tourists, so you won't find many Western tourists. It is a truly immersive experience into the Thai culture.

I have been on a few islands near(ish) to Bangkok and really don’t recommend Koh Si Chang to international travellers. Majority of the places do not have an English menu and majority barely speak any English. It’s a very ‘real’ town and very near the port, so the beach isn’t great. There are rubbish everywhere as it is a very ‘real’ town and not for tourist. For example you won’t be able to buy anything remotely touristy (like a fridge magnet haha) on the island. In terms of the size, you can tour the whole island in a few hours. We stayed at De’ Anchor, an amazing resort and honestly is the best place and best thing about this island, and also why we came, because we wanted a relaxing holiday.

Koh Sichang is a lovely experience, getting to see authentic Thai life. As a break away from Bangkok, it’s exactly what you’d want; a calmer, quieter pace of life, really friendly welcoming locals who would wave and smile. Hire a motorbike/scooter (300b 24hrs, available from the pier) for some exploring on (mostly) decent roads with literally no cars. Some great viewpoints Somewhere Koh Sichang was a fantastic place to stay, nicely nestled off the main road with nice views, great rooms and restaurant and a pool! Veranda restaurant was ace, but huge shout out to Pan & David’s, ate their back-to-back! Cracking menu, well-priced and lovely service

Ideal for those who want to spend a quiet time on a small island, because there are fewer foreigners and quieter than Pattaya and Phuket. I think there are some people who are not satisfied with the activities. The beach is clean, high visibility under water and comfortable with few people.

The island is quite dirty, even by Thai standards there is rubbish everywhere including the beach, the views are hampered by big industrial ships and oil tankers. The island is nice and quiet though without huge amounts of tourists and has a bit of charm to it. Motorbike is the best way to get around and you can really go down every alley and street in one day. The food options are not too bad and decent value for money. We searched for a seafood restaurant but found nothing of the sort. I would recommend Samed as better value, cleaner and more options.

Small varied island with slow pace of life - very different to hustle and quick sell on Koh Larn near Pattaya. Locals friendly and small 3 restaurant beach was lovely after our tuk-tuk tour (300 baht for the day).

A few days before our arrival I got a message from the manager offering a free ride to the hotel from the ferry pier, which we appreciated a lot. He took us back to the pier on our departure. He recommended us very good places to eat and things to do. The rooms were spacious and clean and provided all needed (water in the fridge, coffee, cream, tea, and kettle). There are mosquito nets on all the windows which help a lot to keep the room free of insects. The air-conditioner worked perfect. We had free bicycles to explore the island.

Stayed for fishing in Koh Sichang. It was a kind correspondence such as luggage storage before check-in and transportation to the port. In addition, the response on the web was quick and smooth. The owner speaks English so communication is easy. I used a bicycle to go around the island. ※I gave up going to the south side because of the steep slope. As other reviews say, the cats are cute😍. It's a log house, not a hotel, but I'm satisfied because I was able to spend a relaxing time. I want to come again

The place is awesome, I have been looking for this kind of place to relax. I am so amazed by the place. The owners were very accomodating. They even fetch me from the port and also they brought me to the port when I checked out. I 100% recommend this place fpr your next Ko Sichang trip. Once I go back to Ko Sichang, I will surelly be staiying here. Sichang indeed my home.

The room was nice and big. The fridge was icing our water it was great. Very strong air conditioning. Lady and mister working there are really nice, but not the best at english. They drove us to the hotel and later on to the pier when we finished. Rented us a full tank bike for only 300 TBH. Wifi was good. Sometimes didn't work the best, but over all ok.

We've been coming here most years since 2011. The rooms are in a good location next to the excellent Pan and David's restaurant and a short motorcycle ride from the beach. Try to book a converted boat room if you can, the bow of the boat is a balcony looking out to sea. Ko SiChang is a little-known secret and an hour or so drive from Bangkok.

I stayed in one room with my family(4 adult), I expected it to be small, but it was spacious. The location is right in the middle of the island, close to expensive hotels but reasonably priced and close to any spot. Walking distance to delicious & reasonable seafood restaurant. There was also a rental motorcycle and it was in good condition.

The relaxed atmosphere of waking up to the ocean right at your doorstep every day. Plus the owners were lovely and so helpful. This is not a luxury holiday accommodation, rather it is a relaxed, friendly, homey place to chill. We really appreciated our stay here and would readily do so again.

The place is close to the market area, close to the pier (~600m). The host is quite freindly, helpful and also provided a pick up option. Its quite at night, so one can get a good night sleep. And you can rent a bike from the hotel to explore this wonder little island.

Comfortable simple bungalows. Good value for money, well situated near to the pier and restaurants in the street which serve excellent (sea) foot. Staff was friendly. Ko Si Chang is really a very local island with not a lot of Farang tourists which I liked very much.
